I'd rather go without than take what you'd bring.

Full Spectrum vision was never finished. I imagine it would be similar to the night vision on the sniper but not so bright in light areas... or highlighting other players, AI, et cetera.
Double Speed speeds you up like if it were set in a netgame for a certain condition like dying or having oddball/being it/being juggernaut...

Those are the two power ups that when you type in 'cheat_all_powerups' it shows two metal-ish boxes? You walk into it and it says you picked up a flamethrower, but it makes a strange sound I guess you could say. Go try it out.

I used the double speed powerup in one of my maps. I modified it to act like the Evolution pickup in FarCry instincts.

so there's something special about double speed? heheé
I guess it makes sense, Full Spectrum enhances the range of ''Light Spectre'' seen.

i got an idea when i was looking at the globals tags earlier. i noticed you can change the tint of the invisibility in there. so i thought if you made it black you could transform it to like a 'stealth' powerup or something. it would probably not work very well though, but could be kind of cool in a very dark map. but its probably useless.

Quote: --- Original message by: sKc_chains why not make something people wouldnt noob....if a powerup could be made.. i would say a good one would be maybe give the pistol a 8x zoom for 20 seconds...if the person sucks they wont even be able to use it to their advantage..and its not strong enough to snipe people too quickly..and since it only lasts 10-20 seconds..its balanced....and the definition of power ups in a video game is to get the advantage sometimes....so this one is probably the fairest one...because it only gives just a longer range for like 10-20 seconds....just make sure to god this power up doesnt apply to other heavy weps..then theyll be whored. New power-ups can't be made. What can be done with power-ups is to edit the existing ones: edit the globals to make the double-speed power-up work, make the overshield last longer, make the camouflage last longer, etc. Edited by Me KS on Mar 16, 2008 at 11:24 AM

Quote: --- Original message by: HogdriverOneFiveFive is it possible to make ur own powerups? In a way, yes, but in the general terms, no. You can throw scripts together to act like a powerup. I made a Blue Shield powerup for the Sonic Team when you smash the holding device (like in the games). You would just simply want a triangluating trio of bipeds to check if a player enters the core, and then have the script remove the powerup item block and give the seen player the effect.

Why not just use a very small trigger volume? I mean, I could see how triangulation would be implemented, but why is that needed?
