vista has so many flaws still, it is not funny, heres the 1 example that im sure people can understand y i think this is so:
XP: uses 100-130mb of ram
Vista: uses 800-1000mb of ram (without many things disabled mind u)

now why would i use vista and sacrifice....lets say 900mb ram for a bunch of pretty flashing things that dont necessarily work, in my opinion i like to go with things that work smoothly/constructively over shiny new toys.
Seeing that vista still has alot of bugs, and with the new service pack xp is getting, i think ill stay with xp for a while ^_^

besides, have u seen vista's alt+ctrl+del? they tried to 'make it simpler' but in the end its just more annoying >,<

(dont take me wrong, this is just my opinion, no need to virtually castrate me for it xD)

A: Vista froze the first time Kiwi started up his new laptop, not a good first impression.

B: You didn't really say WHY they fight, if anything the conditions you mentioned should reduce fighting, since there wouldn't be any long standing rivalries. On the subject of map teams all you did was glorify someone. Learn to write in a cohesive manner.

C: There are many good maps and projects that are pushing what CE can do. Just because there are many crap mods, Kiwi bets this is true for many games, doesn't mean the game itself stinks.

GG, go away, nobody likes you.

True. I have been to many other sites hosting other game mods, and man, some of those realy suck. Sometimes worse than the ones HaloCE gets.

And Sonic, as you get older, games do not get less boring. There are still 60 year old people like playing games WoW.

the campaign for 7 years !? why that sounds boring playing the campaign over and over since it only took me a month to play the whole campaign (for the first time)

Sonic, how old are you?

None of us care what you think.

Age doesn't matter that dramatically, also, it's his opinion, you have the right to not care.

Halo and Halo 2 both use the same engine, so making content for them is practically the same.
So when you said "making maps for Halo CE is easy" you practically also said "making maps for Halo 2 is easy."

Same game engine=same process of content creation.

well, loosing sonic might dent the halo ce community a bit. but its a loss we can forget, and disregard. If your finished with ce, then goodbye. no need to tell us it. like ^ said.

But maybe one day MS will make some patches to eliminate the bugs on vista. That is if the patch doesn't have bugs itself.

one of the biggest problem is hte drama, like what you are attempting to create by making this thread. Its not our problem if you dislike HCE, you dont need to anounce it, we dont care about what you like and dislike.. you could like male strippers for all we care. Since you hate HCE, I guess your leaving, Good bye.

acctually they dont, halo uses the blam engine and halo 2 uses the havok engine. Bungie and Hired gun only changed the name of the programs and simplfied them so they could make it seem as thoigh both editing kits were the same

all the halo games use the blam engine, just more updated. i think Havok is just the physics engine. im probably wrong though...

doubt it, because both halo 2 and halo 3 look like there using a similar but more updated engine, halo one dose not. Several options that should have been written in to the engine are differnt in halo1 and in halo2, for example the abilty to make the first person camera move when a certian task in performed. this is possible in both halo 2 and 3 but not in halo 1

But that could have been a modification to the Blam engine. THough Kiwi thinks it is a new engine. The point is the fact that their kits are similar should make the amount of skill required to make a map similiar.

That's your opinion, again, Dennis has said that the best Operating System is the one that fits YOUR needs, in this case, XP is better for me, but for some people, Vista is as close to heaven as they'll get.

Vista is great for me, the only problems that ive ever had are easy to fix and a computer illiterate could fix. Alot of games also have patches for vista now, and many problems can be fixed by changing the theme to windows classic.

Well i never thought I would see such a rude post from AHS_SONIC and from someone i have respect for. AHS_SONIC i do still thank you got making starting sound for the checkers map project, but now you are being rude and i am quickly loseing respect for you. This is a halo ce site, you have no right to come back here and say halo ce sucks, our community sucks, and for us all to move to other games. If anything you should have recomened people play portal or h2v only. As those are the only two other games assoicated with the halo maps family of websites.

AHS_SONIC you are getting to be like those sports stars that say they are going to retire and then keep on playing. You have said you were done with halo ce several times yet you keep coming back. Either stick around this time, or leave. We don't really need members coming and going as often as you are especially when they keep making what should be last posts.

I don't think Dennis minds people saying good bye to the community but this often is really getting stupid.

I would love to see you come back with a bang and make something great but you need to make up your mind bud. I will forever be thankful to you but you need to step up and make a final decision.

K, Im sick of you people who complain about vista sucking, it doesnt.

It beats XP everywhere.

Does anyone have half a brain anymore? It's your opinion, and it's the Operation System that best fits YOUR needs. One of the only reason I have XP is because I can't afford Vista right now, and really, I don't need to switch yet. This isn't a thread to discuss that though, even more, this isn't the right forum to discuss operating systems. Shut up, no one cares.

Boy oxyprofane (or whatever the hell you call it) is one hell of a pain killer... i tore a huge vagina-looking cut into my right hand knuckle and still have a bit of a prescription left XD

youre all going to hate me for saying this but,
JUST KIDDING!

Semester 1 of school is over, and coluseum III has been started. This one is more based towards scaring the crap out of you, so be prepared...

Some of the bipeds Spartan04 "made" will be used. there is a drone that follows you around (although we cant seem to get his gun to work) a zombie with his eye falling out, and maybe a giant slug monster.

If someone feels like they would have the time to model a good jungle/beach/underground secret lab/ talk to me xfire=hmcdustin
