While Dennis may not delete the map I strongly encourage people not to download the leaked beta because it isn't worth it and I do not support it. The map is missing key features that make Blood Creek so good and there are also some texturing errors due to the new stuff we put in.

Please spread the word that this "blood_creek" map is an unauthorized leak. Thank you.

How can it be unauthorized?? You gave it to someone didn't you? No one broke into your house booted your computer and stole it off the hard drive. YOU GAVE IT AWAY TO SOMEONE. Are you so uninformed that you didn’t know that once you give it away you have lost all control of it? That giving it away therefore authorized the release.

God this crap pisses me off! I am sick and damn tired of this childish whining over a stupid map that in 3 months time will be forgotten. Take some damn responsibility for it. You gave it to someone you couldn’t trust. YOU no one else. You and you alone are responsible for its release; no one else. If you don’t want people to have it until it is done then don’t give the map to anyone least of all someone who will upload it until it is done. If it meant that damn much to you to not have it released then you should have taken more time to vet the people you gave it to. I sure as hell am not going to do it!

Normally I just ignore this crap but you hit an eff’en nerve today and became the straw on the camel’s back. Grow up. Take responsibility for your actions and stop blaming everyone else but yourself.

But ya he has a point, you have to take responsibility for a bad mistake, which was, in this case, giving your WIP to the wrong person. Sorry it happened but thats tough.

You're right in the fact that I take responsibility for giving out the map. I also want to let people know it's not supported because I didn't release it complete so I don't want any comments about what's wrong with it. I know you won't delete it from the server. However, can I ask that when the final version of the map is released that I reuse the name "Blood Creek" and not "Blood Creek Final"?

I'm sorry for sounding childish and stuff but I'm trying to let people know it's a) incomplete, and b) not supported because it is incomplete and missing stuff meant for gameplay (such as a teleporter at Red Base not working and also incorrect textures near Blue Base's side-rear base).

Don't get me wrong. I don't want to piss you off and I don't mean to. I just want to control any damage that may be done due to this unwanted release by someone else's malicious intent. After all, the Read Me file had only one line in it. "Made by: Everyone other than Rambo". That clearly intends to shame the creator by releasing the map ahead-of-schedule when it could've been done properly.

It's OK if the map is up there. Heck, if people really want to download it then fine, but I discourage it due to what it's missing. Just consider it like an E3 demo of what's to be in the real RC2 and not for full game play.

If I'm going to have a bad situation here I'd rather make it into a so-so one.

GOD IT IS A CRAPPY MAP NO ONE CARES FOR IT. Dude seriously it isn't that big of a deal. If the map was a revolutionary map that would change Halo CE as we know it then yeah people would care but it is just some modded blood gulch mod that doesn't look right. Just get on with your life.

This map and his Strategy Gulch series all have very interesting playability concepts its not 1 of those 15 maps that mohamed guy uploaded at once. They are fun to play and refresh the blood gulch feel as this new version has an underground area added to it. Please play it before you call it down even though he said it wasnt done.

No actually dont dload it. Imagine for 1 second that was ur map (and ill repeat that the quality of the map does not make a bit of difference), it would be a bit of a bummer ( i know its his fault that it got leaked). He asked us nicely not to dload this map so i for 1 wont.

RC1 is a better choice than the leaked version because it has a day/night system in it.

super sniper, every single post I have read by you both on this forum and h2v have been complete kiss-ass. Agreeing with someone is one thing but get off the bandwagon. I believe you misread dennis's post as saying that it was a bad map, but thats not what he said. Think before you post "your" opinions, and don't judge before you play the map. Rambo's blood creek is well thought out, and it is unfortunate that he made a mistake and trusted someone untrustworthy.

Name it something else so the stink of this dross doesn't linger about it. The 15 minutes of this issues' importance is nearly over.

Let me name several maps that have been leaked that no one cares about:
Asgard.
Yoyorast Island V2 (No textures, no vehicles)
Swamp Grove
Archive
Lightning's Library map

Those are all I can think of off the top of my head.

Anyone notice how the leaked versions of maps tend to be fail compared to what they would have been? >_>

gravity gun test, tallonIV, chozo. Thats 3 more off the top of my head. (about the tallonIV, there is the one with the name tallonIV witch is the leak, tallonIV RC1 isnt)

Ha you are so wrong. That was my opinion. I wasn't agreeing with Dennis. I was expressing my opinion. Did I start out by saying I AGREE. No I didn't I said OMG WHY... Maybe next time you should not criticize me. I did't agree with his post. I was expressing MY OWN OPINIONS, Also who said I did not download it. In fact I did download it and I didn't like it at all. So next time you try to believe something make sure you get your facts right.

Also Sorry for hurting your feelings Rambo. I just can't stand this. So many people have been complaining about leaked maps and they kinda agitated me. No hard feelings.

No Archive was leaked. And its UMT_Swamp_Grove that was leaked I think. I know we made a snow_grove but I don't think that was even a team project.

Kiwi played an early version of this map (actually it may have been the version he uploaded Rc1, but Kiwi doubts it), the day and night system was absolute crap.

This thread got leaked so I have to close it.
