I hope you wont use that pathetic Eggman model. I would like to remind people that Eggman is made up by Disney and is infact nothing to do with Sonic atall. Its DR.ROBOTNIK And he doesnt have that rediculous body and moustache.

I would like to remind you that , until his design change in 1999 for Sonic Adventure 1 , Dr Robotnik looked like this ...



Until then he was a spherical shape , then Sega . and Sonic Team the offical makers of Sonic The Hedgehog , decided to redesign the entire cast , which at the time consisted of Sonic , Tails , Knuckles , Dr.Robotnik and Amy.

Since then Dr.Robotnik has looked like he does in the render , more of an egg shape , with a even bigger mustache.

Oh and by the way , if your gonna go remind everyone that his name is Robotnik also get your facts right about that .

Due to a split storyline between the Japanese and American/European Sonic games, the character of Robotnik/Eggman has been known by several names in the various media and adaptations of the Sonic franchise. In Japan, the character has always been known as "Doctor Eggman" since his introduction in the first Sonic the Hedgehog game. However, in early American and European game versions and other media he is known as Doctor Ivo Robotnik. Although, despite this, both names slipped occasionally in the different regions.

And as for the model being pathetic , i would like to see you try that on with the people who design and create the models for the games , I.E Sega and Sonic Team as thats where the model came from , its an offical model from them , ripped from the game , but because the game only holds the model data for the top part of his body , because you never see him ingame running apart from in CGI prerendered cutscenes , they never needed the lower half to be modeled so we had to model that ourselfs.

Dont act like your high and mighty claiming something from a very sucessful company , is pathetic when you probably either 1: Dont know how to model yourself , or 2: Are just being a major newfag.

I suggest you lurk more in this thread.

it's funny how both names are used. In the sonic animes it's usually Eggman, but when americans put voice on it, it's robotnik. but when subbed it's still eggman.

I liked the robotic eggman, the one found in sonic r which is one of the best sonic games i think.

sonic is doing a great job modeling and working on this, don't shoot down his models so easily. They are fairly accurate.

he isn't really all that evil, they made him to be a playful looking badguy. someone who you don't take serious. sonic was designed for a little younger crowd, well used to be. now it targets a wide range of people.

Would anyone know of a normal looking glass shader in Halo , just getting back into the swing of things by patching Kingdom Valley with new stuff like items , and the ingame shop and such , and i wanted to know if anyone knew of one to go on the canisters middle section.

As for any other updates , i do have them , i just dont wanna show em until i have em all ingame and working in Kingdom Valley.

the whole point of me asking is that i am sure there is no need for anyone to make one , there is most likely a default one which is most likely fine for the job , i was just wondering if anyone new its material name.

in reference to the fact that MC Sonic would be increedibly easy to headshot:

You could make it so that only by shooting him in the visor would be classed as a headshot; especially because technically the glass stuff would be weaker than the armour itself

or u could change the collision size of the head in 3ds max. in 3ds max, just make the head smaller, and use it as the collision_geometry

True. We all disbanned because we really didn't have a team thing going. When a new project was being made there wasn't any outlines. I think archive was just random mapping and it turned out that way. But I could be wrong.

originally we started on multiplayer , but after working on it for ages we realized we where restricted too much , so we moved onto SP , then my fiancee offered to do MP so i gave it to her , and she is part of the team , so technically we are doing both , but our main focus is SP , as she does all the MP work.

Here's a glass sampler map for yous. 13 glass shaders ripped from Halo's maps. I think that's all of them. Included the .max, v9, for the hek of it, too

In compile, it reported some kind of error about mirrors' phases. Idk what thats about. My gfx chip in my lappy is crappy so I'll leave it to another to rip and correct the shaders should anyone care to fix whatever that phase issue is.

I go to a local college near mine in the UK , its actually a University course i am doing. I know it sounds funny but actually my local college hosts the course so i do not need to go to the actual university which the course is based in which is half way across the country.

As for the time i have been on the course , i have only been on it for a year , i have been doing Multimedia studys for 2 years , so its come natural actually , this year has only improved my skills with UVW unwrapping , more accurately modeling things and animation.

Far from it , i have been messed around by rules set in place by Dennis so that you cannot double post , thus meaning i could not post anything until someone bumped the topic , which was not happeneing for a while thats the reason why.


As for updates and stuff , I have a MP vehicle model done which i want to get ingame and working , if anyone wishes to help with that , that would be atleast some progress , as for everything else , i am making the models , we just dont have team members with the abilitys to put the models into use ingame atm.

UI is in the works , concidering the old one was screwed up abit on different peoples PCs , as for the vid above , Springs working ingame finally :) Kirbys told me how we can get the other varient of them that we need working , we just need help with that part.

this looks pretty good.

Im not a huge fan of that spring however... well in terms of how it works. usually they go one direction an dont just launch you, but then again I think you have to jump on the springs so I duno right now. But away from the negativity I like this mod and I will get this when its out. Now I gotta spray paint some shelves and ill play me some sonic the hedgehog on my 360 when I get back in.

Thanks to Doan , Yize and Myself Sally is finally done. Doan is obviously well known for his rigging spent the best part of a day rigging her , and i stayed up for 2 nights trying to tweek it afterwards because of various problems , credit also goes to Yize for her model of the body.

Just to let everyone know , we hope to be putting together another build with more up todate stuff in it , before August 4th , which is when SAGE starts ...

^ thats what sage is ... i normally premote CE and the engine at it because it gets people interested.


As for stuff we need help with , so far its just animations ... so if anyone can offer a hand then please do.

As for Sally we hope to get her ingame soon , and have her running around.

I like how your using third person for your campaign that's something I've never seen done before in halo.
