yes thats all i am looking for but unlike Napalm he will know what i am trying to do. As i said before the texture on the base is only a bump map, and the cliff is a bump map with a colour screen added. There has been zero work done on either diffuse map as i am waiting on an answer from some1 who knows what i am doing to answer if this is the correct way.
Napalm i would appreciate seeing the super deluxe textures that u have made, either that or please read properly in future and dont assume u know something which u have no knowledge on!

i know him and dont mean offence but i have stated a couple times now that im just posting the bumps and simple diffuse's for opinion (mostly Dano's) of whether or not this is the correct way, not looking for opinions on whether it actually looks like a cliff or a carpet coz right now thats not important.

no. nobody has shown anything but maniac and what we need is someone who paints textures. i suppose zsdg could be a weapon texturer, but you dont know how to unwrap do you? well i believe maniac does. so what if maniac unwraps, and zsdg textures. other than that, i really dont see anyone i want to recruit yet

i dont mind the idea but in not sure zsdg is any better than me. I never got a chance to get anything done last night but i did at lunch today and i will get lots more tonite for sure. i have painted the cliffs much better now and the bump is nice (i think) still finding the best way to do things but i will for sure post pics tonite.

the textures are looking great. looking at it now i realize that i dont actually like the model very much. the pillar things on the far sides should be a the same 60/30 degree angle as the walls. its just making the the texture on the wall look weird. thats a suggestion to Selentic and maniac.

Because all those pillars are the same :D exactly. the pillars are ll facing the same direction at the same angle. but the two walls on the sides are at 30 degree angles. the pillars on the very edge should be at 30 also. i just think that would look better.

that is probly just the way i uvw ed it. Im not claiming to be an expert by any means but i think its looking not bad for my 1st real effort. Im still learning lots of new things everyday and if u look at any of my previous maps u will see the vast improvement.
