because item collections have the ability to randomly change. for example one that has camo and a overshield. you add both of those equipments to the item collection, and set their weight to 50 each. that way its half and half. so it is basically the % of the time that that equipment gets picked. so if its only one equipment then it needs to be 100.

thats not true you can have multiple permutation item collections with the weight being 100 for each one.

I still dont get why it needs a weight of 100, does it have anything to do with Physics, will it float if not 100 or sumthing?

The weight is so it doesnt fall through the bsp.

Example
if you put a weapon at 20 and another at 100 if you throw a grenade at them the one with teh weight of 20 will be thrown a further distance by the explosion

no, its spawn chances. have you ever looked at the powerup for cammo, then the shield-camo powerup? its 50 each in the one with 2, and 100 in the one with only one.

also, I have a unreleased map with a item collection for startup, a weight of 30, and 70, and I got the item with 70 alot more than the one with 30 (I did that map a long time ago.. lol, that custom biped had so many errors.. stupid skin modifier not exporting right lol)
