Is this bitmap for when the button is highlighted? Either way I think the glow is too overpowering, and should only be applied to the outer edges. Something like this:

The top one looks great! Overall, without the changes, it looks cool.

I also think if you're going to keep the slanted stripes, they shouldn't be completely transparent in the center.

Yeah, those are all good suggestions. I was going to change the strong inner gradient, it's too abrupt.

My goal is to get these to match the CMT UI and the in-game HUD as closely as possible while keeping the functionality and visuals of a Loadout style element.

I'm not sure what you mean, are you talking about the bubble shield icon? I made it using a 6 sided tube in 3ds.

Everything was done in 3ds and using 3ds shaders.

That's the beauty of it. It's simple, and you can render out a final image at whatever image size you want without losing resolution quality.

I generally don't export to PS because what I render out in 3DS is generally the final product, unless I want to make some simple changes. In any case, I can't really use vector shapes in Illustrator (nor do I care to) and that's why I use 3ds, and it makes it easy to keep the source material.

For rendering the weapon icons, I just import the weapon model, set environment and lighting to all-white, and background to all black and render the final product onto a flat plane (because the altered lighting would affect the other elements).
It doesn't take a genius, but CAD was the first to do it as far as I am aware. He actually taught me a few tricks that have been very useful to me.

If anybody is interested, I'd be glad to upload some examples on what I've done recently.

No, I don't know why he is having it in there, the only armor upgrades we have for loadouts are VISR for T&R and Health Regen for the TSC's and AOTCR

When there is no release date, it's not on delay. The only release date before was during CE3 2014.

Why do ppl even care about release dates. It happens when it happens, i'm more than sure that there are plenty of other mediums of interest out there in the big wide world.
