For me it takes a long... while to load. Also in the stream the Anti-matter grenade is called "Gravity Grenade". Edited by Infinite Guardian on Oct 25, 2014 at 04:49 PM

Maybe make the fire less red? I'm not sure if it's just me, but I think the main fire color being red makes the fire look too dark.

Hey, thanks a lot! The sniper rifle wasn't my doing (I believe that was our previous sound guy), but yeah, I wasn't aware Masters was including my tags in the build, so hearing them all dropped in and working was pretty thrilling! Glad you like em. The map shown was basically the original TSC with the updated tags. Both the original, and Evolved will be seeing a release.

With the wide variety of interesting and new weapons to use, why would you only use one weapon? You're limiting yourself and your game experience. It would be like if I tried to beat Halo: Reach with just the Assault Rifle and Pistol.

I'm conflicted on this because on one hand, the stream was some of the best footage of SPV3 we've gotten yet and many of us really wanted to get a good view and idea of how SPV3 currently is, but I think this was the wrong mindset. If we look on the other hand, ultimately it was the Player just playing a game for fun (and charity) and who're we to tell someone the "best" way to play a game?
teh lag's making an awful lot of posts today. Wonder if that means TSC:E is finally getting to a point where he has time to spare, or doesn't need to work on anything. Edited by RabbitFood on Oct 26, 2014 at 12:18 PM

Edited by RabbitFood on Oct 26, 2014 at 12:18 PM Could be. On one hand I like how T&R looks in SPV3. Alot of recharge stations are there, scattered Covenant equipment, longer firefights in certain areas etc...

I definitely think some of the weapon sounds need to be toned down a bit. I hated having my ears explode every time the livestreamer fired a DMR. It was especially noticeable due to gaps in audio levels between weapons (IE the AR's stable quieter weapon sound made the DMR sound loud, fake, and artificial)
In addition that needler firing sound doesn't work well when the fire rate hits its peak, and the sound cuts out abruptly rather than resembling a weapon rapidly firing needles. Perhaps if you just shortened the firing sound overall and toned down the audio at the beginning of the firing sound it'd feel much more like a smooth loop.
Also, and this is just a nitpick at this point, but why does the particle carbine sound nothing like a particle beam weapon from the halo universe? An firing sound aesthetic more similar to a merge of the carbine and beam rifle sounds (not the abysmal beam rifle sound from halo 4 that lacked any sort of torque whatsoever, mind you) would, in my opinion, make the weapon much more satisfying to fire.
I will add that the gravity grenade sound was absolutely amazing. Just plain kick ass

Edited by RabbitFood on Oct 26, 2014 at 12:18 PM As I brought up in the thread where we discussed H2, Halo 1 operates with all it's mechanics fully working on Legendary, and Dust Storm was playing on heroic as a show of him trying to understand and learn the nuances of the game while fun for him, wouldn't be the greatest display. Much like anytime you see a Demo of an official game, it's always with invincibility on or a low difficulty where it is "hey look at all these things". If he tried to play that with just the DMR on Legendary he still could, but it wouldn't be anywhere as easy as how he made it through TSC with it in the stream. Experienced halo players will always cary a headshot weapon as their primary tool and something else as their secondary, depending on the situation. At least that's the design thought for SPV3.

Just plain kick ass Edited by Delicon20 on Oct 26, 2014 at 12:51 PM Just to quickly run through your points, please bear in mind that absolutely nothing is finalised in regards to the sounds. I've been involved with the team for the best part of a few weeks at this point, and there's still a lot of editing for greater consistency to be done. The finished product will sound a lot better! I agree that the needler sound still needs work, for sure. As a matter of fact, I'll be hammering out another iteration tonight all going to plan. The particle carbine I was treating as somewhat new territory. Since it's not a weapon established in canon I wanted to experiment a bit, plus I was never terribly big on the original carbine's IMO rather obnoxious "pyow-pyow" sound. Glad you're digging the gravity nade sound though! Was pretty proud of that one :)

The gravity grenade sounds like someone made a dubstep of a dubstep song and condensed it into a few seconds.
So pretty good.
