OH! I remembered what i was going to ask everyone!! :D Ok..... Who here sorta liked the Cmt Spv1 feeling and wanted it in Spv3? I know Just the thing that will almost or maybe even give the old feeling of spv1 back into CMT's campaign! But first let me see how many people would like the v1 feeling back before i say what it is. Just say I if yes and NAY for no or something like that....

Well it's one of the only thing that i really actually liked about spv1 that non of the other had. It probably won't give it a full spv1 feel but it'll make spv3 in my opinion much better in it's own way. Edited by P3 on Feb 25, 2012 at 09:11 AM

Well what I thought that made v1 different because you get spartan allies. That is one the only thing that i liked about version 1. I would enjoy the mod more if we get spartan allies. So can we get spartan allies? :3 Just not as much as in version 1.

All are reachable without using cheats or devmode. There is also another egg which some people have found which is in the same area as one of the hidden weapons, though I'm not sure if anyone knows its full extent yet...

hey, can we get a tutorial on how to get such amazing results on things using OS? I have no clue how you got vanilla objects like the grunt looking so amazing using just normals and spec maps. Also how did you get the outdoor environments to look as good as they did? some kind of post processing? like a tint? I'd really like to know how to do most of this well.

The exteriors use no OS extensions. It's all really good textures, really good modeling, and really good lighting done in max.

Well because i thought they were doing there own thing and just sorta going around the story line but still try to stay close to it at the same time. Look at spv1. Spartans. Did anyone complain about that? I don't think so. I just think it'll make the game play more fun with other Spartans running around too and not just you. And when i mean have spartan allies, i mean put only a few in between levels or something. Like you get one following you around in the assault on the control room...well.... Untill he dies of course. That will be pretty cool in my opinion.

What the hell. In shot the flying flood captain with my sniper when it was trying to attack me and I got teleported back to the start where I saw a bunch of flood captains in a circle surrounding a paper faced captain...

I think the Carbine Elite majors are firing their weapons too fast, like you may have accidentally given them the firing speed for a needler or plasma rifle. So the ones in the control room obliterated my ODSTs in seconds.

The suppressed battle rifle didn't really do it for me. For some reason, I like the fact that you can hear the firing...
Plus, the shooting on it is way too fast. Now I can't strafe the grunts...
Anyway, I hope that was just a stealth mission variant, because otherwise...

One thing I didn't like was the lag. I did all the things to reduce it, but it still lagged. It's as if all the suggestions didn't change it at all. And I played it on both my crap computer, and good computer. Same results.

Well something was lagging it nonetheless, the transition from the choppy outdoors to the interior was quite noticeable unfortunately. And I think some of the lighting was done a bit too well, since it's really too dark to actually notice much of the BSP improvements :p

Have people with lag tried the .map version? If it means that you have reduced lag, then OS is the cause. If it makes no difference, your computer just can't handle a mod of this scale, whether OS is in use or not.
If you seriously can't handle a mod of this scale, then lower your graphics and audio settings to lowest. There's no reason for CMT to even try to improve performance for you if your computer's actually that bad. It'd be very hard, unless Halo's portaling system actually works well(Which I somehow doubt due to the fact it's extremely old).

No I said they probably CAN'T optimize their mod. I also said it is the fault of the player's hardware if they can't handle the mod.
