I have an old computer (Nvidia 9400 GT with 1Gb VRAM, 3Gb DDR2 and a Pentium d @ 3.00Ghz) I still manage to get 20 fps outside and a smooth (not really sure what it is inside, just that it's over 30) framerate inside with everything turned on and 720p. Although it really slows when I go into VISR unfortunately :\. Halo is the only game I play anymore so it doesn't really matter I guess.

(And yes, UDK has actually got better graphics. It's just so insanely awesome that it would be too expensive for anybody to even try to develop games with graphics like that unless it's a TEST) ...are you an idiot? Your currently trying to compare a engine to a game that runs on another engine. Quite frankly that dosen't make any sense. Now, if you were going to compare the UDK to Frostbite, then I'd be able to tell you that Frostbite is a much better engine in comparison to UDK. While Unreal can do some really cool things, the size of levels are horrible in comparison to what Frostbite or even CE3 can handle and produce; Frostbite also has much more features than what UDK can do, same with CE3... The reason 8gb of ram is recommended for UDK is that it is indeed poorly optimized and so fourth. Overall, Frostbite is a better engine and, from the looks of it, can produce overall way better looking games for PC.

Because you so obviously still have the right to call me a dumbass after you've repeatedly proved yourself to be doing nothing but harass me. Not once have you given a valid opinion on my activities on the forums, Lodex. Dumbass. I know it was made as a humoristic poke.

:-) No, you expose my grammatical perfection. I have shown an equal or less amount of stupidity to multiple other members of the forum. You are merely biased due to the fact that I seem intelligent from my writing. Believe it or not, I'm not Einstein and so should not be expected to be a genius all of the time. And, I don't actually care whether you agree with this statement. I know it's true. And no, I'm not saying you're jealous of me. I'm saying you're being biased due to my perfected grammar. Good day. P.S. Why are we even having arguments on the CMT thread btw? Back on topic now?

I want to see a30 being either:
a. Desert like
or b. Snowy
As for d40, it would be cool if it was grassy with lots of trees outside of, making it seem as if they crashed into a forest.

We haven't given much thought into environments, but we have snow in A50 and B40/C40, so it won't be appearing in the other maps. We tried desert once for a30 but it ruined the whole "awe" factor. TSC will probably be a sunset again, but not as ugly.
Everything C10 onward will be done after the first 5 missions are done. We have some seriously cool stuff planned with the infection capabilities with OS, but we want to get all the human and covie stuff thats featured in the last half of the game done before doing the flood.

Ah yes, the flood. Are you going to do the thing where infection forms, instead of leaving a lifeless corpse, actually turn dead marines into combat forms? Like in Halo 3? Tbh, I was a bit disappointed by that - I thought the process would take a bit longer....
Nonetheless, it's a cool idea.

Lodex, I already knew what your answer would be. You may as well have not even said anything. I totally understand your immense ignorance to everything I say. :) Quote: --- Original message by: Masters1337 We haven't given much thought into environments, but we have snow in A50 and B40/C40, so it won't be appearing in the other maps. Exactly what I was hoping for. I've not even got to the flood missions in the vanilla campaign, so wouldn't want to skip straight to them in SPV3. :P
