Is the a50 just a beta and there is going to be a final version, or is this it?
Oh yeah.....I'm not trying to start an argument or anything but...when i looked back at the pictures. I noticed the HUD doesn't really go with the newer more HD looking weapons... Just my opinion to help you guys out a little ( if it does any help at all). Maybe try doing this.

The hud like that is the scaling fix in Yelo. If you don't alter the hud settings if you have OS, your hud will appear as what you would consider to be normal.

What you're seeing is the HUD Scaling feature included in Open Sauce. Since it can't move HUD elements around depending on the resolution, vanilla HCE will stretch the HUD, like this:



In this case, the HUD still fills the screen in widescreen resolutions, but the stretching can make it a bit less attractive. With OS, the HUD can be rescaled back to its orginal proportions independent of the aspect ratio, which is what we're showing in official screens, but if you prefer it stretched, you can toggle HUD Scaling on or off in-game, as shown above. If you don't have OS, it'll always be stretched.

If you're on a 4:3 display (like 1024x768 or 1600x1200) this won't apply to you

Backwards compatible. Meaning that the OS version isn't. Meaning i was right earlier to ask the question of weather i'd still be able to play it or not. Thank you.

How about my other question. Is this the final version, or are you guys going to add more tags to it when you have all of them done. Like adding the marines when you guys are done making them.

I've been meaning meaning to ask this, how do you get the jackal shields to give off light? Is it a separate shader from the shield or is there an option for light that I haven't found?

We have colored dynamic lights assigned to the biped in its "attachments" section, which are scaled by the jackal's shield functions so that the correct light color/amount is given off based on if the shield is flashing/deactivated/whatever. It has nothing to do with shaders.

This looks Epic, Like incredible. You guys have done an epic job compared to your last shot at remaking the SP.

Well while you keep making more I will right violently in my CE3 Journal and eating a potato chip very dramatic.

Probably. But OS is OS. 3.0 and 3.0.1 shouldn't make that much of a difference.

yes in maps with vehicles like assult on the control room. its the 24th in the central time zone now.

Yes I (and indeed, most of the team) am in America. We are still (potentially) waiting on some final touches to come in and we're working to prepare some info and promo materials to be included with the release but otherwise everything is on-schedule. The maps will be uploaded to Halomaps and to a mirror or two some time in the afternoon/early evening.
