Thank you. I think it makes it more visible to see how bad the damage to yourself is, so you can get back in time. I also brightened the ammo\ grenade stations and played with the brightness and contrast, too. But yeah i think it makes it a little more effective. And i checked the reach hud, it doesn't resemble it much at all.



@masters: is that an open sauce thing? i still think that the curve would make it look a little more smoothed, the original just looked to flat to me...Maybe instead of a curve you dip it, like at the top slant the sides down and go down a ways, then level out to a strait line.

What I mean is that the cyborg unit hud interface is always visible to the player, regardless of what they are doing. So if we do a curved center panel, it will be curved in all situations. So every time you are in a vehicle or using a support weapon, the center panel would stay curved while everything else would flatten out and in the case of the visor outline, disappear.

Okay, okay. I was just making a suggestion on what i think would look appealing to my eyes, just my opinion, i'm not on the team so it's not like my suggestions will be changing the final product. Lol.

Ew... no way. That's curved way too much, just look at the curve it makes, it doesn't follow the slant of the grenade and weapon sides at all. And glow? The non-static parts of the HUD (meters, numbers) wouldn't look right on top of glowing parts. Trying to hard to look like h3/reach.

so you're saying you have elements of the hud that change ingame? would've been nice to know before we started speculating on concepts

Here is a wee bit of a concept I have for the CMT Health meter. Personally, that's the only part of the HUD that needs help, and then I'll happily say HCEA has got it's butt kicked by an incomplete mod.

CMT didn't do it, i did, so it's not going to be in their mod. And no it's not bloom, it's paint.NET and then effects, photo, glow and i played with the values. The way i made that picture was by saving the image of the cmt hud and modifying it. The health and shield monitors were made by cmt, and modified by me to look the way they do in that picture.

But it's not a cmt thing so it wont be in their mod, unless they wanted it. But anyway i made it look like that and cmt said they didn't like it, so whatever.

Anyway, yeah i may have curved it to much, but aside from that, if it were to fallow the curvature of the other things wouldn't it look good\better

He never said that, at least i interpreted it as it's the same as something already existing and should be kept custom.

Anyway, I like the hud that choco made. I think it is visually appealing and fits in well with the mod.

Um, dude, he said that the health meter posted there was the same as reach, but did you take a look at what he was saying looked like reaches? look at the picture he was referring to, that's all i'll say.



Anyway back on topic. I liked the hud except the health meter, but that's just me i guess, still you guys's mod not mine so i'll leave it at that.

Okay you seem to have misunderstood what i did here. I took a picture they had posted


I cut out the shield bar, stretched it out, bent it, then cut out the health bar, stretched it, bent it, put it over the shield bar where i thought it fit best, moved the lines of the shield bar to fit around the health bar instead of behind it, and put it in the place that the old one was.

The final product


See, same picture, just different health bars. It's really not that hard, and was just a concept.

I think animated assassinations would be cool, but it would be very time consuming and i can imagine painstaking glitches with that....


Will there be an updated biped/textures for Captain Keys? Would kinda seem off to have all these "updated graphics" in a sense, and have captain keys the same as always.

Why would you want 3 grenade types? It's dangerous enough carrying 8 grenades in your backpack, nevermind 12!

Not without a lot of work, or the source code. It's certainly possible, but impractical due to the amount of stuff you need to modify. There's multiple tags that reference only two grenade types and code behind the scenes that would be more difficult to track down.
