radar is hawt.
visor outline is distracting, but the screenshot is in a dark area. so i cant say much atm.

hexagons are gay.

helmet near the grenades is puzzling. doesnt seem to hold a purpose or make sense.

i also agree with lode on the health and shield symbols. needs to be minimal imo. health bar looks like a cool super hero belt.


I'm guessing you're not a fan of halo reach's loading screens then, amirite

Could we see a picture of it with some outdoor stuff? So we can see what it'll look like when we're playing and not hiding in a dark corner :)

Finally some useful functionality for OS aside from flashy graphics. Although essentially pointless in a game with bad netcode. It's still not enough to convince me of using it, especially considering the drop in performance I have gotten from programs that use post processing. My laptop is 2 years old, not from the year 2000 :-)

You also have to consider that many of the people still playing don't have fresh super computers, some of the people I know from the community that still play MP actually have pretty old/bad ones. It's not going to be a wide-spread hit either way.

That said, this isn't an OS discussion thread. I don't see how mp specific characters relates to SPv3 at all.

People that don't have fresh super computers are going to be left behind in about 10 years, when technology takes the next big leap. ;)

And by the time they get decent computers they can simply move on to more advanced engines if graphics are of such a concern to them. ;-)

The black lines inside the scope look too thick and obstruct the view. Looks good overall, just change the black lines.

okay, the visor outline is definately distracting.

and the sniper zoom is very cluttered. i blame the visor outline. but its obvious wip, so cool hud sho far!

Maybe with the visor outline, would it be like possible to have it translucent? Instead of full on.

Guys the Visor is only visible cause its sorta dark
In bright light its so invisible you wont even notice it.

Just that I think maybe you should make the black lines in the sniper hud more transparent or thinner so it looks less obstructive?

Awesomeness. No point in the visor outline though, unless you make it non-transparent, because the part around the visor isn't made of glass, it's made of non-transparent material; and surely, Masterchief should have a zoom feature in his suit to get past the visor anyway.

I agree the forerunner symbols are, much as the rest of your HUD design, over cluttering everything. And get rid of the jaggedy lines.

Obviously I've viewed it full screen. You can't honestly be happy with the jaggedness of your HUD éh. The idea might have been nice to have that bit slanted, but clearly in the default HEK engine it won't look good. Solution => change the design to look good given the available technology.

@ TM Updates: Well I'm sorry but it might be you cause its not that jagged. And really like waffles says its your opinion. And my opinion it looks fine. Really all I have a problem with is the sniper scope needs to be fixed a little.

As a final note, focus on the message, not the delivery. I'm not the only one who finds your HUD to be in need of alot of work as is shown in the thread :-)
