It's been a while since I've done anything in Halo, so I thought why not dump some sauce on some weapons

Those are ZTeams, but veex used Open sauce to make them purty.

I'm going to hold off on releasing the bitmaps/shaders for now, but the rest is just zteam's tags. The bitmaps I ripped from Halo 3, took the specular from the diffuse alpha, made the specular's green channel black for a multipurpose, then plugged the diffuse, spec, multi, and bump into zteam's original shaders.

By the way, these spiker textures are horrible :(

The funny thing is, it has an ilum map, I was messing with it for a while, but I think I just need to make the image a bit higher res for it to actually show.

Yeah, shadows need to blur the further away they are, but I personally like them sharp all the time. Apart from that though, the maps lighting itself looks rather bland.

nice job on the plasma pistol it turned out great.
but the carbine needs some work mostly in need of higher rez textures.

the carbines lighting is a bit off. too much yellow in the metal, it needs to be a darker gray. and there is too much red in the purple parts of the gun, the bitmap as is has the right color purple. tone down the red and you should be good.

still a lot better than the other colors in the thread D:
but making the colored part then using a CC map in halo would make it look perfect, thats what I'm going to do on the spartan laser soon, and what I did on I-dont-remember-what which looked good. I think It was the h2 phantom

The concept looks great apart from the roster and spartan hub which wouldn't be used.
May I ask where you got the font for the menu text?

Spartan Hub is for settings and profile color.
Roster is Choosing your profile.
And the font isn't Conduit its Bakeesh Reg and Bold:

But yes I'm working on a Halo 4 UI, expect more updates sooner then you think.

NICE!

What are your ideas for the background for the main menu? My ideas are to have Chief standing on the wreckage of the Foward Unto Dawn? The Multiplayer will look good too, and I like having a firefight. Will there be support for SPV3 and Lumoria?

1. The ammo-count does not fit with the bullets-display.
2. It's in the wrong place. Top right, for starters.
3. The gametype icon is, IIRC, on the bottom right.

Dat brute... Ugh.





Wouldn't it just be awesome if people made russians in Halo?

Also, it seems that my Xfire videos stutter, but my YouTube (FRAPS) videos do not.
