The BR is one thing I also had some trouble on. He's using the wrong number plate for one, and specular could be turned up a bit. IIRC the H3 BR uses some other maps that aren't compatible with CE at the moment. Edited by Ki11erFTW on Oct 7, 2012 at 11:21 PM

Im having trouble seeing, if so then i didnt see that, but I was looking at the shaders. Looking in the editor right now, I'm not seeing different maps, it has different sections and variables for environment mapping tints, roughness, occlusion, etc. See for yourself. If you look in halo 3 the br is more grey and you can see most of the detail in the bitmaps and shaders, but the actual diffuse is close to black, and for Halo CE i actually had to modify the diffuse a little bit so I could bring the detail out a bit more ingame. That included the 50% grey shade, etc, which you can see the gun uses in Halo 3's shader properties. I'm not the master at this stuff though, and I wasn't going for a direct copy of Halo 3 when I took the model and textures, I went in the editor thinking the diffuse would be a lot better than Halo 2's when it wasn't really, if you ask me, Halo 2's BR looks better. Do you mean them showing up only when you're close to directly below them? Because I tried to do that but halo doesn't seem to like lens flares working that way. They get pretty buggy and flicker in and out a lot.

Gotta create a scene in the Crytech engine for a University module. Either from film or game, choose a nice little part in Halo:Reach - only got to do a 10 x 10 area so will do this little farmers house. Should be cool when finished, gotta do outside and inside. Can see what it would look like in the day as well when finished. Started on some of the assets that aren't available in the game already. Messed it up a lot, did UV'ing crap, and hence the horrid textures. Should be lower poly but tbh that is fine for a current gen game. Next item should be better.

It looks good model wise, although the texture is pretty basic and lacks detail in comparison to the origional, mainly small scratches around the egdes, for example on the vent's on the circlish area.
