Not even on lowest quality? But i play it on the xbox, so no fps problems I assume. Edited by mastur cheef on Nov 13, 2011 at 01:51 PM yeah it's a very poorly done Xbox to pc port. The controls were ridiculously confusing too, they don't make much sense. I didn't understand the lag though, even on ultra, it looks very similar to oblivion, which didnt lag at all, and still only gets a few fps. (performance doesn't varry much between settings. )

If it's anything like this is, I don't think I want to ever play it.

Gameplay wise, very similar. Fallout was based of Elder Scrolls, very similar gameplay, add VATS, ans different setting/futuristic stuff
FNV Had horrible amounts of glitches, crapper GFX for 2010, bad Performance on PC
BUT IT WAS SO FUN
AND MODS AND FUN AND MODS

I wouldn't know how bad NV was for computer, cause I got it for PS3. Apart from it overheating and crashing(which is absolutely fine for me, I switch from that to either Xbox or Computer) It was the funnest fallout game yet.
Somebody should totally make some of the fallout stuff. But they'd be way too high poly...

Pictures have descriptions so just start here and work down. Not everything is unwrapped as of yet obviously, but I have some friend/s who were dying to see these textures ingame. You really should brighten up the map, textures look pretty dark and there's a lack of lighting. I'm aware this is a WIP but I just say what I think, so take it into consideration as you wish.

I have not added any light fixtures quite yet, but I do plan to do so in a few places. Also, I have heard that it is best to only have about 8 or so dynamic lights in a map. Being that these figures are based on people with computers at the time and that my map is made for a person with a better computer, I want an honest guess to how many I could probably throw in there with little to no visual lag.

You sure you don't mean you've already optimized your software so you don't need optimization anymore? I've not needed to optimize my settings for months to play games on highest settings.

You sure you don't mean you've already optimized your software so you don't need optimization anymore? I've not needed to optimize my settings for months to play games on highest settings. I'm sure I didn't mean that. I removed a few settings in windows, that didn't affect aesthetics much and hardly improved performance, I don't even have an anti-virus, and I don't use any of those stupid "performance optimizers" either, only catalyst control center, which I keep all of the non-AA/AS settings up. So to answer your inquiry, no, I don't and I have not. Graphics drivers are something anyone should get whenever they're available, so I don't count this as optimization.

yeah. Oh and I just noticed. I thought it was the bad lighting, but I had the textures on flat bumped for some reason. So you were'nt even really seeing the bumps hardly AT ALL! I may upload some new stuff later, but I have a few things I need to work on other than this. Like for example, I am thinking about a full back tattoo. What you guys think of my preliminary design? Phoenix may be a little cliche for a full back tattoo, but I think that something that essentially lives for eternity expresses my feeling toward my life

Honestly, in all my years of mapping, I have only had 2 maps that I ever put dynamic lights in. Dynamic lights can be very crappy at best; its better to use just regular lighting for everything.

Some of the pieces look remarkably similar to Halo Reach's forge mode. Is this intentional?
