Are you gonna add in the landing gear to the back as animated objects? That would make it look better on the ground, if you could do that. As far as color, it looks a bit too green to me, but that may just be the lighting in that area.
Also, I personally think it looks a bit odd with single thrusters on the winglets. Also, what is that thing on the chin in the first picture? Is that a chin-gun or a landing gear?

That's a chin-mounted gun at the front, the landing gear is right behind it, if I recall correctly.

Well Altheros can be a pain but overall he's a good guy.

i decided i was unhappy with my previous warthogs, so i went back to the drawing board and came up wit this...




ignore the windscreen and turrets, i ran out of time to finish them this morning, but i will be back later today to finish these up. and hopefully release by tomorrow. ill release them one by one so that i have time to get the rocket turret finished. it would also be great if someone could do better effects for the Gauss gun, as they currently suck...

Sorry, I should have specified that I redid the shaders. These are direct ports from reach.

I spot many wrong smoothing groups (all) and the shaders looks like rubber...

to show progress. its better to show a WIP than nothing at all.

and i still haven't gotten the smoothing groups figured in max figured out 100% i have poured all my time into learning blender and not really focused too much on them.

wow i just did a tutorial on them and i cant believe they are that simple... its just like edge split in blender.

The bump maps are on but I forgot to set them so you can see them but I also did a unsc frigate I will show that latter.

For me they look great !!! Maybe work on the glass a bit more darker in the reflection setting. Also they are great.

heh, I felt left out from this thread for the fact that I dont know how to make vehicles work yet :)

So I started non-basic and made basic vehicle boarding on Non-OS apart from lack of animations, effects and timing... whatdoyathink?

its just a ghost, imported to Gmax, added another driver marker (called #driver01) and turned the marker around to he boards G-driver backwards.

in guerila added an extra seat that's "not valid without driver", I did something else but I forgot.

for mulitplayer: you can board, but you just can't kick them out.

for SP and no AI: you can just jump on but not board.

for SP and AI: you can jump on and they hop out, but you cant take their seat.

for SP, AI and my script: you can jump on, kick them out and take their seat. (you take their seat automatically, but you jump on by pressing "E", or your custom button.)

the script just kills them and makes you jump into their seat.

NO OPEN SAUCE NEEDED!

hes referring to the pelican i'm porting.

@Sergeant 1337 don't quit working on it. a custom model with custom textures has the ability to be 20 times better than some crappy port.
