It feels really.. yellow-greenish to me. Like mucus yellow-greenish.. I don't remember Grunts having that kinda armor color.
But I guess that still works -otherwise, that seems great! (though I have no sense of shaders, so I'm not sure how great of a comment mine is..)

Hey. thanks btw. yeah if you look closely it mixes with red to make a yellow-orangish colour. If anyone could rip the cov_hex_detail_grey bitmap for me that would be great. I will release these son btw. heres a reference pic:

thanks bro. I put the detail as a reflection mmask and set it to double bias/multiply. I will play around with it though more. The problem is the screenshot is so low quality. gonna have to rig after rotating pelvis while rigging -.- Edited by Cheddars on Mar 16, 2013 at 05:57 PM

If you want to see more the hex details on the grunt. A simple method, open your hex details texture with photoshop. Go to image/adjustement/auto contrast and save the bitmaps. Compil it. And now go looking it ingame, and their is a good difference.

He doesnt look that great ingame. (Not that you did a bad job) But bringing the detail out on the H4 stuff is still in confusion for me, I think the armor control is a main part of it.
