Seconded.

Yes, you totally need to explain what a necromorph is with THREE youtube videos. A single picture would have done better.

And that dionsaur totally looks sad because it's eye sockets happen to be shaped that way.

Edited by IcePhoenix on Feb 9, 2011 at 05:39 AM

actually the sad look was somewhat intentional, if you look at the art on page 91 you'll see the original character design has a somewhat melancholy look to it

trying to learn more about action constrains, ik pole targets and rigging in general. may be a while before another update. may work more on the mesh or try my hand at a few other characters from the same universe.. no promises though

About the "sad" eye shape of the biped, I think it actually looks pretty cool that way. I would keep it as is in that respect. Also, Ithink the mouth area needs more polygons.

on that topic I've been trying to figure out a way to do the mouth like I want. ideally I'd want something like the mouth in this crappy concept piece I whipped up in like ten minutes

deleted

basically, I want more "ridges" on the sides when it's more open, rather than just being triangular, but have it triangular when it's closed. theoretically I could add more verts on the mouth and try to shape it, but I don't know if my topology would like it very much. I know tris don't matter too much on in-game models, but I'd still like to try to keep all quads

either that or I may worry about it if and when I decide to remodel. I'm hoping to be able to eventually pump characters like this out effortlessly.. and I've got a lot to go for the project I've got planned.

in time.

first shot at this kind of crap. took about an hour. the pose-to-pose technique works quite well. wish I had more control over the tail, the IKs on it are a bit weird

haven't done anything with the curve editor so it's a bit jerky in some areas

also gotta re-rig the wrists. don't know what the hell I was thinking

because I totally implied this is totally from the halo universe

and if you find anything at all about magic and warlocks or the creatures not needing to eat as they are sustained by outside forces in pokemon's storyline, feel free to get back to me

Looks awesome ! (to me)
even if not adapted to mc shader's usage, its sexy. make the contrast lower on the cubemap and mix it with a correct metal one, you'll have a cool mc shader then (i guess)
What cubemap did you use ?

PS : This on Whog glass = win. But it'd look screwed up in closed area (cf make the reflection invisible on shadowed zones (envt shader.)

finally figured out how to do an omnidirectional-lightsource cubemap. It may have lost the "hard candy" look, but I think it looks schmexy and more satin:

Also made a new timberland cubemap for the visor reflection.

Need some feedback before I embark on a reckless journey to model this only to give up

http://th06.deviantart.net/fs71/PRE/i/2011/046/1/b/celen_defense_force_bdu_by_major_tiel-d39noc4.jpg

Yes, that is an anthro soldier. A cockatiel to be exact; the design was heavily inspired by Halo, Star Wars, and Modern Warfare 2. This does not make me a furry.

So please, any feedback regarding:
1: Posture
2: Difficulty to model/texture
3: Should it be ported to Halo?
4: Realisticalty?

Please no comments regarding how stupid the idea is or something else discouraging. Thanks in advance.
*Sorry about image lack.
