That ready is really, really quite bad. It either looks too slow, or like it's a melee at first.

I get what do you mean here, it looks pretty much like a knife slash in cod. I'll try speeding it up more and/or angling the knife lower then.

Some smoothing needs fixing like you said, and more edges can be added to the butt of it, I can see that you don't have many which is why you have smoothing errors at the back.

You have attempted to make it look round chamfering the edges (Not actually doing that, but you have made the outcome of what would happen if you had). Try and make it a bit more organic instead of strict boxes.
Edited by anonymous_2009 on Jan 22, 2010 at 06:26 PM

I was considering redoing the butt but I don't know at this point. It's not too noticable in FP and isn't too high on my priorities. Maybe.

Overall is it boxy, and the sides are flat, give them more depth in places.

Liiiike, how do you mean

On the stock of it you are missing a piece of metal which is places right on the top, don't know what it actually is.

Yeah, I overlooked that. I may add it in.

I think some verts might need to be welded on the barrel, as there are smoothing errors.
Edited by anonymous_2009 on Jan 22, 2010 at 06:26 PM

I'll check if I have extra verts or duplicate verts anywhere there.

The grip has a pointless extrude which will not really be noticed in-game as it is so small in depth. It also looks like you would cut yourself on it.
Edited by anonymous_2009 on Jan 22, 2010 at 06:26 PM

That's been removed if you're talking about what I think you're talking about.

suggestions?

There is my crit anyway. Looks decent though, just needs some work. And please make some proper rails instead of that block.
Edited by anonymous_2009 on Jan 22, 2010 at 06:26 PM

Thanks for the crit. I'll consider adding rails. I just need to locate that reference for proper rails.

Some things are inaccurate to the actual image, but they'll make it look nicer in the end.

I can't read any of that. But I'll see if I can't work on it.

Can you get a PNG of that so it's not so hard to see the lines? And use the text tool so I can make out the words?

I'm still waiting for ICEE to contact me for help with anis when he gets the chance, reload is stumping me

My main computer for Halo has no working operating system, and I'm being a lazy ass in fixing that, so I'm not on xfire for now.

PM me what you've having problems with, constraining, linking nodes, etc?

Sorry I forgot... Gotta remind me of this sorta stuff, my memory is pretty bad. I'm old. Anyways I actually messaged rossmum asking him for advice on how to make a drill-accurate AUG reload animation. You could wait until he fills me in, and then apply that to your weapon if you want. OR I was thinking you might do something different, and rather than lift the rifle the way he does in h2/h3, try rotating it at a lower angle, so the butt of the gun is still against the shooter's shoulder, providing support. You'd have to do some stylization to make it flow well, but it would be interesting.

Is that a PANCOR Jackhammer? I think it is, judging by the streamlined design and the Bullpup box magazine.

I believe broke does it one of two ways:

Make it so the fire animation aims down sight as well as fires, so just clicking fire automatically brings it to the sight.

OR

The melee animation moves to the downsight, rather than actually meleeing. This would then require special melee damage effect tags to prevent being able to damage someone by aiming downsight. It could supposedly also be done with the flashlight animation.

Actually I figured it out.

Quote:
IR Broke: aiming down sight
IR Broke: is the easiest ****
IR Broke: you will ever do
IR Broke: XP
IR Broke: basically
IR Broke: its the secondary fire
IR Broke: using the secondary fire animation
IR Broke: which i use 3 frams for
IR Broke: and thsoe three frames
IR Broke: are the position for the iron sight
IR Broke: in the weapon tag
IR Broke: you trigger lock the secondary fire
IR Broke: and make it replace grenade throw
IR Broke: then ur done
IR Broke: XP
m00kz.weapon: Oh. Sweet.
m00kz.weapon: So is there an animation that plays from iron sight to the origin?
IR Broke: nope
IR Broke: just the animation
IR Broke: that is the position for the iron sight
IR Broke: 3 frams
IR Broke: no going from origin or going back to origin
IR Broke: it just replaces fire-2

Props to IR Broke

Needs some on the melee and reload.. crit if you want but I already know it's crap

I've actually thought of that one before. Kind of like a machinegun, except the rounds have a scatter effect, though not as wild as a shotgun.

Kind of like spraypainting pellets around.

You know your halo. Ten Internets for you.
I'm trying to figure out what my alternative version of a Jackhammer would be, though, and i'm having insane difficulty, because the Jackhammer is so insanely cool. I remember when i first stumbled on one of those, on the rise in sidewinder (almost typed Snowbound XD)
