yea i was talking about cell shaded assets in general, not the shotgun itself at all

but wow, thats a very smart way to use that technique, very awesome and cleverly found, +++rep

uhh, theres tutorials all over the internet to learn to cell shade.

The irony of it is I didn't look up any tutorial, I was just looking at my roomie playing BoarderLands and I was like "YOU KNOW I BET I COULD GET SOMETHING CELL SHADED"

so I tried what I thought would work and it worked. ololo

It's so easy, just copy the mesh, extrude all polygons by local normal, black material, flip, backface cull in the object properties.

Bam. Cell shaded.

fix all of your hard edges. all of those 90 degree edges can be chamfered or rounded or something. the 90 degree angles are an offput though. start with those, then post a new render.
E: and is that a handle? separate the part that attaches the handle to the gun from the actual handle, and make the handle itself a tag bigger so it doesnt just look like a hunk of metal

How is that LMG meant to work? Because, the barrel goes into the "ammo box" it seems, you need to make it look like it would actually function. At the moment it just looks like a box with a tube sticking out of it.

it was like that in halo 2 too. it has to do with the bullets coming from the main FP camera rather than from the actual gun. the flashing effects and all that happen at the markers on the gun barrel, but the bullet itself, unless specified, will come out of the fp camera which points at the center of the screen.
that is why we dont move the reticles down. you would technically have to aim at somebody's feet to shoot them in the face. as far as i know, short of making the bullets come out of the marker on the gun, there is no way to adjust that fp camera aiming vector.

They both suck says the guy who knows using particles is the way to go. Projectiles are clumsy and particles look better. Unfortunately I can't give pics because I suck at particles.

No offense 094, but stop getting offended whenever you see someone use your stuff and when someone asks for a release. Get over it and let it go. There is no gain to not distributing it. In fact, if I had the abilities you did for HCE conversions, than I'd release EVERY H3 tag possible.

The gain in not distributing is pride in being one of the few that have it, because either you worked hard to get it, or ass-kissed well enough to get it. Also, the way SOME people ask, makes me not want to ever release anything. If anyone disputes this, I will post chat logs.

I see what you're getting at, but then why not just keep it to yourself? Is it necessary to post pictures of it everywhere and be a complete ass by basically saying "I have these tags, and I'm going to brag about it?"
