Halloa thar. Looking for suggestions for a gun I am working on.

BLT-NCSD Squad Assault Weapon

I would have uploaded renders but 3ds Max is being derpy and not rendering certain faces. I think p3d is kinda better for 3d model anyway since you can show wireframes and everything and you can look through the entire model.

The gun is a SAW with some inspiration from the M16 (as seen by the carry handle) and a little from the halo 4 SAW.

This speific version i plan on putting into halo and i plan on working it into a higher poly model to bake.

The main thing i am looking for suggestions on is the overall design of the gun. Would have high rate of fire and fairly accurate.

I think the front grip should be tilted back a bit, so it's easier to hold.

But otherwise, it looks pretty good, as long as I never see this gun in a MP map.. :P

I might take the front grip and do it tommygun style.

You don't like the idea of this in MP? Whyzast? I think i will put it in and dedicate it just to you.

I've a problem with imported FP arms from Halo 4. Looks like skinning is... reversed! When I moved a joint from a hand, the other explodes! I don't really know how to explain but it's weird. Someone has the solution?

Skin modifier is not exported correctly, you'd have to re-skin the model

the visor could definitely look better and less glowy, and the codpiece looks like a face is pushing through. the techsuit itself has some weird streaks going on and looks less like rubber and more like cloth. the armor, most noticeably the shoulder and the side of the torso piece, seem to have normal errors, and the lighting doesn't match all the way, seeing that the left side does not receive blue lighting.

-and no, I'm just afraid of noobs abusing this gun (especially if the bullets have a better stopping power than the regular assault rifle). But.. on second thought, they're noobs. I guess it doesn't matter :3
