laughing at how this is turning into a modacity bashing thread. simply put, if you didnt think to go ahead and upload it here when you decided to post a link in a public place, then thats really your own fault. if it was meant to be private, then you should have distributed it to trustworthy people via pm or im. but seeing as how it was a public competition, i dont really see whats wrong with this anyway. its going in bacons map so youll get your credit there, dont get your panties all up in a bunch over this.

You know the only way people are going to learn is by doing, plain and simple. Oh yeh, theres no rule forcing you to download a bad map. Nao lock this flamefest :D Edited by __napalm__ on May 26, 2008 at 03:09 PM I'm glad that you can tell what Masters is saying for him, since he obviously can't for himself. Why don't you read a post or two? Masters made a point that he never said anything about practicing. Also, let's use your logic here for a second. Masters was saying if a project isn't going to work out well, then don't do it. Well, let's take chains' elephant for example. It doesn't work... really at all. At least not in ce. Well, what did he learn from making that mistake? Oh, maybe it's that he WASTED HIS TIME making something that would never work and he could have saved himself the trouble. Sounds to me like Masters was trying to help, good argument man.
Potentially good yes, but right now his cliffs are extremely uniform in shape and very boring. Also, I would suggest adding "hanging" cliffs (IIRC that is the acceptable term). It's basically cliffs that are not sealed above the bounding ones. From the players stand point it only adds to the depth of the level, and most of the cut offs will not be able to be seen. It will only help you get the feeling of actually being in a plausible environment. If you do do that, then make sure you give them a no collision material, otherwise tool will have a fit.
