a50.map right? However, a30.map is in the a50 map archive, so you may wanna double check before compressing it into an archive.
Just a heads up, I'm thinking of doing the skulls without the use of Open Sauce to start things off.
Quote: --- Original message by: cippozzo I'm new at modding, but does the OS' actor_variant could be useful here? I mean, you set up the headshot effect and if value x is true(by script or externally) so that grunts have a nice birthday?
I'm doing it without Open Sauce. And also, In classic mode of Halo CEA or MCC, there was no confetti besides the children cheering when the player scores a headshot on a grunt. For the real time editing tool as alTIs showed on YT, the things I can play around with to replicate the skull effects from CEA are explosion radiuses, actor_variant's health + shield vitality, but there are some other skulls such as grunt funeral skull which are quite difficult to replicate and permanently disabling the motion sensor as well as the malfunction skull which could only be done with devmode commands. Hi all!
I've been thinking about making the Halo CE (All-Skulls-On) Campaign project to replicate it for the PC engine. I've used the Real-Time editing tool A.K.A. 'gameditor 1.3.0.0' which allows me to edit various tag options such as rounds per shot and shield vitality for enemy AIs, etc as practice.
So for the Recession skull replication, I simply change the rounds per shot to 2 instead of 1. But there are a few skulls such as the Grunt Birthday Party, Grunt Funeral and Malfunction skulls which are quite difficult to replicate in the Halo CE engine since I'm still an inexperienced modder.
Any comments, questions or suggestions are welcome. Edited by ChieftainSnipe on Jan 25, 2017 at 08:06 PM
Is normal difficulty a joke? Yo, I played this mission on normal and it uses Legendary difficulty setting especially the damage and shield recharge time.
Following masterchief117's thread about MP maps MCC edition: http://forum.halomaps.org/index.cfm%3Fpage=topic&topicID=49465
I'd thought I put them all into normal map file names from (e.g. bloodgulch_tmcc.map to bloodgulch.map itself) without the _tmcc suffix.
However, when normally renaming by the right-click then rename from (hangemhigh_tmcc.map to hangemhigh.map) it will exception.
So doing so would require me HEK, Eschaton and Halo Map Tools as suggested by Kinnet. But this is my first time modding Halo CE so I haven't done it before. The first step was to extract the tags in the said map file but I do not know how because this is my first time modding. Any assistance is welcome.

the maps such as "beavercreek_tmcc.map" have the "_tmcc" suffix before the ".map" though. So why not remove the "_tmcc" so it makes it easier to play with other ppl on various stock map servers? Well ppl with hac2 and the hac cache file can still play the altered version of the stock maps with others who have the stock map, right? Edited by ChieftainSnipe on Jun 16, 2016 at 05:14 AM
lmao, i can't even board an enemy ghost. is this a scam?
I'm sure there will be creative ways to speed run this especially by inspiring from Sierra 117's speed runs and what not. ('w')
As of 6:40 PM of the 14th April (Australian Time) I have plugged my Xbox One Controller in and launched Halo.
NOTE: I have the Logitech G300s Gaming mouse software installed and programmed the mouse to do specific actions in FPS and MOBA games.
The procedure was as followed: 1. Launch Halo while Xbox One Contoller is plugged in. 2. The game will only recognise the controller instead of keyboard when plugged in. 3. As no controls are programmed/re-programmed, the Xbox One can't interact with menu stuff unless unplugged so it would return to normal Mouse + Keyboard Interaction. 4. Checked the Gamepads settings and Saw a duplicate profile of the Xbox One controller for Windows. (So there's 2 of the exact kind) 5. Restarted Halo with contoller plugged in and saw only one Xbox One controller profile. 6. Unplugged controller while Halo is still running and returns the control to mouse + keyboard. 7. Go to controls and assigns controls for Xbox One Controller. 8. Clicks on the command and plugs controller in to press a specific button for each action. 9. Step 8 repeats. 10. Saved settings for controller. 11. Enters any map. 12. Halo only returns control to the Xbox One controller without Mouse + Keyboard so no way to press the ESC without unplugging controller. 13. Unplug the controller before hitting ESC to bring the menu.
I think the Xbox One Controller is conflicting with my Logitech G300S Gaming Mouse software and its programmed side-buttons.
Any suggestions are welcome.

Ok, I figured out the cause of this problem. Too many gamepads selected on hand at one. Have only one gamepad and badda bing badda boom.
I can use it on non OS maps just fine. It's just, there are multiple gamepads active.
When I leave the controller unplugged, it seems to play SP maps just fine though.
I just got my hands on my Xbox One controller and want to play single player maps including TSC: Evolved
The Operating System that I'm currently using is Windows 10.
I am using Open Sauce and wanting to play TSC: Evolved with a controller, but when I select that mission (Evolved) it causes a black screen. This also goes for any campaign map (I could be wrong tho), and it goes into black screen.
Edit: I figured the cause of the problem is having more than one controller profiles installed when I should be only using one controller. I think this applies to OS Halo tho.

Why don't we just have OP weapons classified as legendary weapons and place them in hard-to-reach places and have a one-time-use only?
I'm not kidding, but for the weapons bullet material effect collision (whatever the hell you wanna call it) when you shoot a sniper rifle and covenant carbine, dirt comes out of it while they spin so it has to be changed to hard metal.
Very nice (b'w')b
I think for the whole show, we would have to do completely different music. So in my case, Popskyy!
Music is in the link: popskyy.bandcamp.com
I'm choosing competitive maps: Downrush H1.5 - Team Slayer Pro Zerohour H1.5 - Team Slayer Pro Launch Bay X - CTF Pro Launch Bay - CTF Pro Eternal Pb - CTF Pro The Cage Un - Classic King Asylum - Team Slayer Freezerburn - Classic Crazy King (Objective point must be motion tracker only because nav points would ruin the game. So we try to stay sneaky) Enigma - CTF Pro TLMP Pipeline - Classic Phantoms TLMP Lefty - Team Slayer & CTF Pro Ewok - Team Slayer Pro Church - CTF Pro Fissurefall - CTF Pro & Team Slayer Valis - Classic Stalker CMT G3 Mousetrap - Classic Phantoms Lookout (NOT lockout) - Team King Lookout Classic (NOT lockout) - CTF
And fun maps: Battlecraft - CTF Pit V2 - CTF Mercury Falling - CTF Red Feather Ranch - CTF Peril - CTF Oblivion - CTF Valis Swords - FFA Slayer
