Nice to know that you ain't overpowering the game engine like Crysis. Not even the current Generation of computers can fully master it and to be honest, Halo OS is more beautiful than that game. -Zekilk Edited by cyboryxmen on Sep 8, 2011 at 04:50 AM I can see where you are getting at, the Halo Engine can produce BEAUTIFUL worlds, that is if the people using it know what they are doing. CMT and Lumoria team as shown us that. But it does not look better then crysis
Another idea, try to a make a free roam area where various task has to be done before proceeding, like Silent Cartographer, except bigger and more to see. Maybe around 7 Main task with sub task leading up to their completion and maybe side task. Not a complete open world experience but it gives more variety and sandbox gameplay. Have like two Biomes so that a repetitive color code doesn't get dull, such as forest that turns into snowy mountains. Pretty sure its a lot of work, but hey something to think about.
And try to make a desert invasion scene, add a little warm colors in there. Edited by crudeowl on Sep 5, 2011 at 04:18 PM Edited by crudeowl on Sep 5, 2011 at 04:32 PM
Are you guys going to attempt a cave scene? And when I say cave I mean barely lit, deep dark pits, can't even see the ceiling dark. I always wanted something like that(I know its what you guys want), but they are not in many good FPS and it can provide some nice gameplay as well. I think if you do do one, I think you can pull it off. You guys have done amazing stuff with a 10 year old engine that I am surprised bungie or 343i hasn't even referenced you guys.
This sounded alot better in my head -___- Edited by crudeowl on Aug 31, 2011 at 06:51 PM

I am abandoning hope for sapiein, it is a piece of garbage that has the most difficult time running. Edited by crudeowl on Feb 27, 2011 at 01:19 AM

Where do I find Subterfuge, I want to see what you did with it.
Also, can I script a render/draw distance system that morphs faces together depending on the distance Edited by crudeowl on Nov 19, 2010 at 09:14 PM
Quote: --- Original message by: assassinchief106 Absolutely possible, you'll need to model a huge BSP, however. Do you know how to design Halo type builings like in ODST?
If it is, how would it be possible?
Here's my 1st Official map, no tutorial, no nothing I just played around with it for a couple weeks and got it down.

Quote: --- Original message by: assassinchief106 I never seemed to find one map located on some city and with some stores/in-door areas accessible. It would be a great honor to find one. As for the biped, NIKO BELLIC! I don't think there is, well except for these but their not what your looking for.

Quote: --- Original message by: d4rfnader wow, looks nice very big area too. Thanks I had a very fun time modelling out the cliffs, but the town didn't come out the way I wanted it but hey, gotta sacrifice.
To EVERYONE, these textures are not permanent. I put them there to make it look nice for the screeny for ya'll. An this is only the surface, there are hopefully going to be BSP's that lead further under the map or in a cave in the mountains. Hopefully the rest turns out well:)
Thank you for the screen shot advice:)
