What program opens up the following extensions? .gbx and .max. None of my actor varient tags will open in sapien they all say contact your nearest bungie dude. The only actor varient tag that will open is captian but he has no gun i gave him a gun but he still dosen't have a gun. When i download weapon and scenery tags and try to put them in sapien it says contact nearest bungie dude also. When you uncompile a map can you delete the .txt file? How do you add custom vehicles, i downloaded a tut with three ways i tried two niether worked (the other involved scripting I don't know anything about scripting), I downloaded another tutorial but it ended before it completly showed you how to add custom vehicles. Last question: i still don't understand, what scripting is. Is it like telling AI exactly what to do? Those were all my questions. Any help would be appreciated dearly. Thank you!
EDIT: Also how can i convert a max file i dont have 3ds max. Edited by jjwk544 on Jul 13, 2007 at 10:25 PM

u can only open gbx models in guerilla unless u export em to 3ds max or gmax.....the max files are the ones u open in 3ds max (duh) lol.................it says "contact the nearest bungie dude" cuze theres a missing tag (most of the stuff on this site has missing tags) that probably ul have to rip em from a map using HEK+......u cant give keys a weapon cuze mb THAT biped of keys just can hold one....to add a custom vehicle open up globals.globals in guerilla and replace a vehicle for the new one (go at like 4/5 of the page) ......and i dont understand the last very wellXD......but as the most i can understand of it.....scripting is not just "telling the AIs what to do" u can do even miracles w em XD

Scripting Allows you to make events happen. Things like make AI follow the player or make a Device control another Device. It can also make AI spawn only when a certain thing happens or to make music play only after the player is in a certain area. Scripting allows a person to utilize the Halo game engine alot more than just tag editing alone.

um, .max is opened by 3ds and .gbx is opened by gurella. the bungie programmer dude thing happened to me but to fix it you have to rip ALL the single player maps so that all the data is there, also try re-ripping in case hek+ missed something like it dose every 6-10 rips.
