I've been around the Halo CE modding community for quite a while now and I want to invite anyone who is interested to my Halo modding Discord server: the Halo Editing Community. 343 games are excluded because I don't think they did a good job making them. And I just think the Bungie classics are more fun to play. But I won't stop anyone from talking about them if they desire to.

Objectively, 343i's stuff is technologically superior, even if you don't like the creative choices.

However, opinions are opinions so w/e

I recently left this discord as it was very dead and no one there knows a damn about ce modding, only on xbox. I'm also in a 400 people discord for ce that actually holds gamenights, talks about modding and troubleshoots. No reason for me to be in that discord.

I also was in too many discord servers

Half a year too late to the discord game, whoops!

Considering how many channels a single discord has, it's totally unnecessary for every single individual and every YouTube channel to have one IMO. Why not just fewer, less dead, ones that form a common community?

Ones that don't discourage modding on a modding community (because of a very obvious personal vendetta against 343i) . :)

There are actually quite a few CE modding members on. But let me restate what I have already said, It is a server for all Halo games 1-Reach. So yes, there is a mixed variety of Halo modders. And this is not a Youtube server. It is rather a server for an upcoming file sharing, modding community website. Also of which I have stated before.

Haven't been in long enough to know but about the expertise within the group but the discord does feel a little empty.

THANK YOU, even if you think that 343I's games are bad it's just selfish to not mentioning it in a MODDING community

Ok Im not going to lie. It is a bit dead but I have already seen a lot more people join because of this topic then I have ever seen before. And Im not specifically stopping anyone from discussing 343 games. On the Discord server there aren't channels for specific Halo games. But I made a decision to not include H4 and H5 on the website because there aren't enough mods to create a community for it (yet). I mean, look on youtube and find out yourself. Aside from cheating, swapping projectiles from guns, and tampering with vehicles, there isn't much. But like I said before, If you desire to discuss such topics, be my guest.

Can someone collate all of the discords which either directly or indirectly corrolate to the HEK?

This includes general discussion, members who exist here and within the discord community and perhaps anythink with a relevant channel geared towards HaloCED.

It would be mighty useful for peeps looking to drop in to ask a few questions or you know share whatever knowledge they have.

To clarify I'm not looking for a worthy alternative to hmf rather a contingency plan for when users cannot find the answers they require.

Oh I'd do it my self 'cept i'm banned from all but two of the ones which I know exist.

Maybe also ask permission from the discord admin of the servet you are willing to share incase they feel otherwise.

I know of like 6 off the top of my head, and that's far too many.
