I feel like this game hates me. I get so many errors but this is one is probably the most frustrating. Whenever I see a server I'm interested BOOM that error happens. Anyone know a fix?

Use HAC when connecting to multiplayer games.
I tend to use HAC for multiplayer and OS for singleplayer.

I installed hac2 but now halo ce crashes on startup. EDIT: I uninstalled Opnesauce and now hac2 works. Edited by JustARandomGuy on Dec 26, 2016 at 03:49 PM

Yeah, HAC and OS aren't compatible. To use HAC I put loader.dll in the controls folder and remove dinput8.dll from the HCE directory. To use OS I do the exact reverse. This way you don't have to continually install and uninstall stuff. There's also the method of creating separate Halo Custom Edition directories but I prefer this tbh
