Subject says it all...
Every 'Halo 3' map and tag pack I've analysed that has the Halo 3 SMG doesn't have the actual fire sound. EDIT: Basically EVERY Halo 3 SMG uses the Halo 2 fire sounds (or something really horrible). Does anyone know if anyone actually has a map or pack that has the actual Halo 3 SMG fire sound? I doubt it's the firing sound thats the problem, it's that all the firing sounds are disgusting because of how they were ingamed.

CMT's SMG sound isn't as bad as Halo 2, but I still think it's bad. Later Halo games started mixing mono and stereo sound effects playing at the same time for fp firing sounds but I'm not sure when they picked that up.
