okay. heres the trailer and main idea.

i need some help. i humbly request some bsp and other misc help. i want to figure out biped boarding, and other opensauce features. i need to figure out how to import animations into campaign maps, camera tracks, and other various helps.... anyone who wants to join in is ABSOLUTELY welcome to help. im working on setting up a fourms as well as a few other things for everyone. i have successfully reverse engineered the trial, ce, and pc, versions to include custom maps in the intaller, modified bitmaps as well as all sorts of other goodies. (ie fully updated, OS, and custom maps, as well as other content ported from reach)

ive made halo portable all-in-one setup as well as a self extracting runnable archive. anyone who wants to help me develop will get access to the meathods used as well as an early release of the mods themeselves....

What does this have to do with CE3 at all?

this is the beggining for the campaign... it uses the end of reach as a base for the start of the game. its supposed to generate a little bit of hype for what i want to release for ce3.

Slapping CE3 into your map name is now as cool as putting H3 and Reach in your map name now.

For instance, it is now cool to name bloodgulch mods "H2/H3ODST REACH CE3 Bloodgulch".

It's a new standard mappers now have to put in their map names.

I get it now, it's a hype trailer, though it would be cool to see some Custom Edition stuff! I see the screenshot, looks interesting, but we want to see more than a single screenshot!

I don't think it's too much to ask, I would offer help, however I do not have the skills you are looking for. It's kind of difficult to find BSP people here...

thank you pepzee. i actually know you were important in the release for firefight decent.... (loved that map) can i ask you a little bit about how you went about scripting and adding ai in the map to drop from dropships. id like to implement that too.

Sure, I can assist with scripting functions and AI. I assume this is an Single-Player map and not an Multi-Player map? I ask this because a lot of the scripts will not work in MP.

cool. how does one load a bunch of ai onto a drop ship- fly it down and land it and drop covenant and such? i got the scripting for the ffdescent map working temporarily but i want to add a few custom things. drop locations and whatnot.

A) Submission to CE3
B) Review
C) Approval (or rejection - but we don't slap our dicks on those ones)

Well the script from Descent is...

In Descent we used custom animations, meaning in your map you'll have to animate your own dropship before you can use this script. You may be able to find prerecorded animations from a campaign map that fit your needs too. A lot of the commands in this script depend on the specific situation for your map. For instance, here we created the phantom with object_create, then used custom_animation to fly the phantom in the map. We then determined a wave number and spawned AI inside the dropship.

One interesting note is that our phantom did not have any seats inside, so we actually spawned the AI in the air inside the phantom and dropped them in.

:) ridacule again? here we go again at judgemental6yearoldtartedphux.halomaps.nonorg gentlemen or children.... whichever you prefer, however the latter of the two seems more accurate. first of all that bsp was a halo ce map that i made in 2009... now im using it to test random stuffs and i was just learning ce then.... i know the map was dark.... that was the point..... 99 percent of it was in 2008 and the engine was super lax then. i seriously love this... i hope you guys have something better to do than to sling dirt. were acting like children here. grow up... by the way.... speeking of brining up old things how old are you r93? this is impressivly immature coming from a supposed adult..... i gotta say im absolutly astounded at the shear effort you put into this immaturity.... whomever uploaded this video.... wow... what a child. #pleasetakea2literofpurecyanideanddrinkthewholething

I mentioned this in my video, but if a map becomes too dark for the player to see anything, then there's a big issue. This isn't exactly an issue if you have some way to either alternately illuminate the environment or alternate method of seeing (hearing is usually a good one), but you had neither or in your map, and it made it a painful experience.

Uh...Recording the video took me about 5-7 minutes, editing took me about 15, and upload took like 3. Total about 25 minutes maybe less? At most that's a run of Tower Survival plus a few extra minutes if you went after the first C rotation. Being said, I felt it was a necessary pushing of time, plus it got me to post some humor which I didn't get to express for quite some time.

Actually, Insulting a test build after its author decides that "I PUT IN HARD WORK! ITS MY PERFECT LITTLE CHILD! TO HELL WITH YOUR ARGUMENTS!" is valid is perfectly sane. Putting in legitimate criticism and getting put back by hypocrisy tends to make you not legitimately care about trying to help, and thus satire tends to be an interesting method of discussion. I also once again iterate, Irony from your abuse remarks. Did your parents abuse you as a child? Did your daddy touch you? Do you need to see a doctor? I'm sure they can help you.

Now, you can cut your losses, type like an adult (because you're like what, 30?) and act responsibly, or you can just continue to respond and try to get the last laugh wherein you just continue to prove my points. While that sounds like an extremely arrogant statement to make, especially coming from myself, I have the evidence to back up that claim.


The entire point I brought up your previous work is because it is currently your latest. You need to learn how to operate properly prior to trying to take on a large task. You calling of criticism as trolling and trying to stand by that is childish (oh the irony is delicious) and isn't helping anyone, especially not you. Double points in considering the fact that my consensus was shared amongst plenty of others who commented on your thread and my video. In game design, you're catering less to what you want and more as to what your audience wants. You don't do that? You don't keep your audience.

CE3 isn't HMU people. Quality of submission does count. We'll try to work with as many people as we can to make sure their project is featured.
