Basically, the title.

I (think) i've tried running it as administrator, but that didn't work. The installer seems to go through but at the very end it stops and says it was not able to complete. Any ideas?

I would need it to use the SPV3 maps for testing the hud at 2650 x 1600 on my mac.

Use the map editor, Jesse.
Let go.

I'm having the same problem too. It worked on the previous build of Windows 10 but it doesn't work on Version 1511 (November Update.)

Aww I liked the new Star Wars. I thought it was very pretty.
It must be because of a new Windows 10 update because it worked fine for me months back.

Yeah, it worked for me some time ago too. I'll try just copying the Halo CE files and see if that works.

I know this isn't really a solution to the problem, but I can confirm the HUD scales fine at 2560x1600. Eitherway it looks like Kornman is still actively handling bugs with the engine and installer, so it might be wise to give him a shout about it, as he'll probably have more insight than most folks here on the forum.

OS runs fine on my W10, and I have upgraded to the 1511 version as well without issues. I remember OS gives problems if you don't have the latest version of Microsoft NET Framework. Everything from the version 3.5 and above should work fine

We're talking about the actual installation process.

Thanks to SOI's suggestion I was able to fix the problem. I just enabled the latent .NET framework abilities within the windows features.

Your best bet is to grab your Win7 installation disk and install.

It's a bit redundant making posts like that after the problem was solved tbh.

While I would have loved to do that, Mac OS Boot Camp Manager only supports windows 8 and up. Your words also suggest anything else would have been better than Windoes 10, But I can tell you that windows 8 suuuucks

Really?
Just the other day I installed Windows 7 on my Mid-2014 Retina Pro and it seemed fine (with Boot Camp of course). All the drivers were there and everything.

My bad, I should have been specific. Mine is the 2015 retina MacBook Pro with El Capitan.

I would rather use a hunk of junk like Windows 8 over compromising my privacy 100%

Like anyone would be interested in your personal life anyways. Or your fetishes, which I'm sure you have a legal urge to hide.

How about my bloody money? Heard of PayPal?
How about my full name or my address?
How about my passwords for anything?
Microsoft isn't the only one jeopardising their user's safety; if someone can find out that Windows 10 is spyware and a botnet, someone can break in.

People are stating the moon landing was fake?

What nonsense!

The stage lighting looked completely realistic!

It's sad I can't tell if that's sarcasm anymore.

I think it was pretty obvious I was being sarcastic but then again everybody interprets situations according to their own personal experiences.

You should not worry if you are smart enough not to download any viruses, I've not had an antivirus since Windows 98 and I've never had a virus ever since. Like Microsoft would steal your paypal account anyways, the sweet lawsuits that would come of that would bankrupt it, they're not that stupid.

If you've read the Windows 10 ToS, they're allowed to do that, so are their highest bidders (they need to make money off of a free OS somehow...) If you enjoyed Orwell's 1984, then you'll enjoy reading the Windows 10 ToS.

You have no proof of them spying anyways, you're just blatantly speculating bullcrap.

Do we need a Let me Google that for you up in here?

I'm sure you also think 9/11 was an inside job

On a side note, America has benefited a lot from 9/11: surveillance on citizens, oil, etc

My experience of windows 10 went like so:

It took ages to download. (because I downloaded on release day #filthycasual)

It took ages to install. (idk?)

It looked cool when I had it. (nice ui and stuff, didn't really understand why we needed a new OS just so I could have a slightly small start menu)

It was marginally faster. (Moving files, startup)

Then I realised windows 10 was recording all of my browsing data and syncing it across my other devices sending me ads and suggestions e.t.c

It got annoying so I rolled back to windows 8.1

The end.

For those who think that Ms is totally innocent, wake up bruh.

Everything we do On-line is being recorded and stored by companies for governments, there is no conspiracy - it's happening.

Sometimes for good.

Sometimes for bad.

Mostly because silicon valley feeds on the frustration against ads.

If there's one thing I learn on the internet about software is that DO NOT completely trust any software that isn't written by you.

Again, if you just can't trust your data enough, install Firefox/Chrome and don't use Edge (That's reasonable tho, since it's in very early development and webdevs haven't updated their sites)

Chrome is spyware too lmao

Nah it's just good at giving you a false sense of security.

Alot like incognito mode actually.

Where did this rule that the concise form of speaking known as greentext should be illegal outside of 4chan came from?
