As the title suggests 3dsmax 2014 sp5 will not allow me to save my projects or for that matter allow me to export my models/bsps to my Halo Custom Edition root directory or any of it's sub directories.

This is a particular nuisance seeing as that to circumvent this error I must instead export/save my files to the desktop, from there I then have to move the files from max to my desired Halo directory using windows explorer.

The error report I receive from 3DS is that I do not have sufficient permissions and I must contact the administrator of the pc?!

But I am the administrator of my OWN laptop!(local account however.) booting max up with admin rights does nothing at all. UAC is turned off too.

Ideas?

There is two options here:

1. Disable user account control

2. move/copy your halo hek directory to a space that isn't protected by windows.
