Well my motivation to start animating halfway stemmed out of my annoyance at how iffy HDoan (made H3T with FRain then combined into H3MT with others) used to be at animating, and halfway out of how much I looked up to ICEE (animator for Σ [Sigma mapping team]). So one day I had ICEE let me try and make a flag origin which turned out decently enough.
From there I started practicing origins, primarily copying from Halo 2 and Halo 3. Soon enough I copied the Halo 3 Battle Rifle: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3-U9ooKo1Ro.

From then on for a year or so I basically just copied animations, mostly from Halo 3. This seems like a terrible thing to do but helps a ton. Soon enough I started to notice how to properly space keyframes and learn timings for animation in 3ds Max. And while that was going on, I began to add my own flairs until eventually I broke into my own animation style and could do things from scratch.

And of course I maintained good contacts with ICEE and other animators who were able to give me tips. And now it's me being the teacher, full circle it seems.

Is there any link to that whole tag leak thing? I want to see this!

He is right in the fact that I would love to acquire those tags. I am a huge fan of gamma and odx. I hope someday I can animate like them.

Also people do need to stop being hard on themselves, things do get better.

Also, wherever you go in life there will always be "drama". I would get used to it, but it's quite hard.
