What's the point of producing meaningful content for an audience if they're too stupid to play on the official, up-to-date, definitive version(s)?

In your position, I would either:

• Be more restricive and careful in selecting and distributing test candidates


• Stop putting so much effort into making things for an audience who doesn't appreciate your work the way you want them to (or, y'know, speak the same language as yourself).

You shouldn't allow yourself to become distraught. It's unfortunate, but if you measure your success and effectiveness of your content (that you pour your sweat, blood, tears, heart, soul, etc.) into by keeping the ignorant masses' hands off of everything BUT your finished product in order to ensure its popularity over its other, more ubiquitous pre-releases, then you should probably quit while you're ahead.

Only SBB members get to test private builds and I'm just doing what I enjoy doing, I don't really care about those idiots who still play on servers running old bigass versions, spawning with 4 weapons, infinite ammo and all other things that ruin the gameplay.

I was under the impression that you were upset about a leak.

If that's the case, why does it matter if previous versions are uploaded if you're unconcerned with the version people are playing on? How effective is your testing group if it was, in fact, a select group of testers that you're familiar with in a controlled environment, but there was still a leak?

If that wasn't the case, then I've misunderstood, and you can disregard my posts.

I'm not upset, my other thread with "leeks" was a joke. The version 2.113 (that was uploaded on HM) was given to more players because I needed a full server for that test and some Indian thought it would be a good idea to post download link on FB.

Needs more strip texture.

I don't know, "discussion" is a strong word for what typically amounts to a nigh useless argument on a fairly obscure websites forum, halomaps being the one in question. I believe that "conversation about a particular topic, though not entirely unrelated to the purpose of this thread itself, not the most useful process imaginable." would be a better phrase.

Hate is a pretty strong word.

Would be a suitable and less extreme substitute which still manages to amplify your distaste whilst also portraying a sense of approachability.

I think that a better word suited to this particular situation would be pointless. I feel it carries more the spirit of what's being said as well as the nature of this particular subject.

I feel like every thread here lately is becoming an off-topic ramble thread for Flanker, Skidrow and Tark.

Do you have any replacement for the SR model? The model from TSC:E is way too big so it takes too much space on the screen, I can't see anything on the bottom right.

I'm considering using H3 anims for it like Kinnet does.
