Quote: --- Original message by: Cortana remember I am professional programer and I did mentioned one of my thread that I will take you down. No professional would ever resort to such childish rhetoric in an open forum and they would never openly flaunt a blatantly illegal cyber attack on a website for any reason. You don't get to act like that and pretend to call yourself a "professional" anything. Professionals do not act like that in public forums, professionals do not willfully violate the law by hacking and defacing a private or public website. And professionals certainty do not go about adverting their illegal activities in an attempt to gain some childish recognition. I have watched you repeatedly attempt to create some kind of stupid controversy between the clearly illegal Halo-online hacking community and the completely legitimate Halo CE community and I am growing tired of it. I have left this one thread open for discussion of Halo-Online and only this one thread. If you continue to post about Halo-Online in new or other threads your account and your posts will be removed.

Dennis, I know you're big on second, third, and fourty fifth chances, but I'd personally say to just get rid of him. The entire forum is tired of it and those of us who have even the slightest care in the world knows that you don't exactly want to deal with it either, or really have too much of an ability to do so, strictly speaking. You have the ability to compare the IPs if you wanted to and enforce your rules, wouldn't it make sense to just save yourself the headache? Objectively looking at it, there's several violations going on here. I've quoted specific ones I could find in your guidelines post (though I really remember there being more infractions but..) here Quote: --- Original message by: Dennis
- Read the forums rules and guidelines before posting for the first time.
- Search the other posts to see if your topic is already covered.
- Be civil. Personal differences should be handled through email or IM and not through posts displayed to everyone. Do not make personal attacks or call someone names.
- Do Not troll which means do not post messages specifically designed to start arguments or controversy.
- Do not chastise newbies. Do not make fun of people who know less than you about the subject. Help them or remain silent
- Stay on the topic of the thread.
- Ignore spammers, do not respond to them do not post in response to their offense your responses are worse than the spam itself because their account and all their messages can be deleted with a single click. Your responses can't unless I delete all your messages. Your response to spam is worse than the spam itself.
- Do not post lines of repeated characters such as “HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA” it is not funny does not convey any real emphasis and unnecessarily stretches the screen making it harder for others to read.
- Do not post new problems on someone else's thread and interrupt a topic of discussion.
- Most forums prohibit warez, cracks or illegal downloading of software and similar topics. This is in the rules and is not allowed here.
- Watch your sense of humor, posts may be read by people from a variety of backgrounds and ages. What you think is funny may seem mean and hurtful to others.
- Do not post ”empty” or useless responses, such as just ”lol” or ”cool.” Only post responses when you have something meaningful to contribute.
-Dennis

Personally, I just think its kind of interesting to see where Halo: Online is going to go. As far as the posts made on this website, they make good entertainment, but they get old fast. I think at this point, R93 is pretty much right. They've had their fun and don't seem to plan on changing a bit.

Actually you do mean to tell... But be that as it may this is not a black and white world and the things you may be sure of, such as the exact identity of a user, may not be what it seems. If I used your IP comparing criteria I should band you because you signed up with one IP but posted this message with another. Most people use proxies. We currently block nearly 1 million proxy/tor IP addresses but that is a small drop in the bucket compared to the 4.5 billion IP4 address space. I technically can not keep up with new proxy IP addresses. So I take each account on it's own merits and except for blatant duplicates (same IP) give each one a chance because I can not "know" exactly who they are. I can guess, but that its not the same as knowing. The User has been warned with specifics so his actions will dictate the results.

The User has been warned with specifics so his actions will dictate the results. This is specifically what I meant. Blatantly creating dupe accounts, which sshers is known to have done before (according to you before, with the whole Caeser thing) is a lot easier to track than somebody constantly proxy-ing, or at the very least I would assume. Considering his grammar and spelling, it would be prudent to infer that said person hasn't exactly covered their tracks very well (but the probability is stillt here). Also I sincerely apologize if it seemed as though I was actually telling you what to do, I was more curious than anything and did not intend to make it seem otherwise (thus that snippet added to the post).

From what I've been told it had nothing to do with IT related incidents. Something else and worse apparently put him away for what I'm guessing is around 5 to 10 years.

Like everyone playing Halo CE acquired the game through legal means... As for distributing, the only thing they're distributing is the software that can modify the Halo Online files, not the game itself. Furthermore, they didn't get a cease and desist, they got a DMCA when a game file was accidentally uploaded in a git commit. Said file was taken down and they haven't heard from microsoft since.

Ah I stand corrected. But the software used to modify the halo online files removes the geolocational restriction upon the beta product thus enticing would be players to acquire the game through illegal means. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=v46Q9hTiV58 But I accept this isn't anything new, in fact it would be way cool if the Eldorito devs took this time toevaluate halo online's enjin so as to further enhance any future OSauce additions.
