to spare everyone: http://hce.halomaps.org/index.cfm?fid=6798 is the 1.10 patch. if in doubt, run this after a fresh custom edition install

Anybody getting problems seeing the custom maps? I'm not able to setup a LAN server with any of my custom maps while running the new OS. Although I can load them as a SP map via dev mode

The map crashed on me after I killed a brute chieftain with a fuel rod. :(

This is a known issue (that's been intermittently plaguing the map for like 2 years now!) that we weren't able to pin down. (We all played the map nonstop for 2 days before release trying to reproduce it and we couldn't.)

If it's fixable, it will be fixed for the maintenance release. Your crash report is most appreciated!

No but I'm running outta options. I've tried the control panel uninstaller, deleting all the O.S content, and I would try to uninstall it from the o.g installer if I still had it (the download for the old installer don't work for me, so I can't do that).

I need to uninstall the previous version before installing the latest. I can't manage to do that.

If you've reinstalled CE, I think it is safe to assume that OS has also been cleared. (If all else fails, back up your maps / etc and nuke your CE directory if mysterious files are still hanging around; that should definitely be sufficient if OS isn't showing up in your Windows program list).

Strictly speaking I also *think* you should be able to just install the new one over the old as long as you have CE 1.10... we had to uninstall old versions while testing but I'm pretty sure that was just the case for test builds.

EDIT:

I've uninstalled/reinstalled CE 3 times, nuked the directory twice during those reinstalls, patched to 1.10, and the launcher still says, "Please uninstall the previous version of O.S before installing this one." I've tried using my Control Panel to uninstall O.S, that doesn't work, and I can't get a link to the old version of O.S to uninstall from there.

Thanks for that. This might work.

I couldn't get 3.1 removed, I nuked folders, control panel removal etc., until I found the right keywords to find the download for that version of it. I opened the MSI file and chose the remove option. If you can't find a download online, see if the msi file is still somewhere on your computer.
