I mean Altis has binoculars that have a working compass.

Maybe you can modify the FP Gbx-Model and add a grafic in the field of view, make it with a shader transparent chicago with no collision like the one showed in the assualt rifle from H1. Just dont mess with the model animations. And the fate of HCE depends much of us and Microsoft. Thats is what i should do in your case

Well the AR already has a compass on it, so you could always add a blank plane to the FP arms gbxmodel and make it just face the screen and never move. Then just try assigning the AR compass shader to that plane. You could even add N E S W markers this way.

i will also mention that you post false advertising/misleading posts. but i will add a helpful reply. you just edit the fp arms model and add a plane that goes in front of the head where the hud would normally be. possibly making a refernce like the fp model of the assault rifle fp look at the fp anims/gbxmodel/weapon tags of the assault rifle if you are confused..... and its pretty easy fromt here.
