Just played my first game. First impression, a huge improvement over Halo 4s multiplayer. Game feels balance, weapon pickups are important again, no killstreaks, and the score for slayer is kills not points. Smartscope seems kinda dumb.

The more I play the more I dislike it. The frag grenades are like these insane explosive tennis balls, plasma grenades are near worthless.
I don't know if damage for guns needs to be nerfed, as smart scope provides a an accuracy boost and therefore damage boost each time it's use. I think there needs to be a better solution to nerfng sprint, perhaps just a longer time until your shields reload.

I expected to hate it, but I have to say it's really fun. The weapons feel really nice to fire, and the abilities seem to complement the flow of the gameplay pretty well. (Except ground-pound; I haven't used it once.)
The ranking system seems to pair me up with unfair matches: one time I got three perfections in a row because the players on the other team were pretty new, and other times I get paired up with three newbies and on the other team three Onyx levels and that other gold rank (not semi-pro, the one before Onyx)

it would be very cool if somebody could get precise shots/kill counts (divided into shots/shields & shots/hp) for whatever guns are in the beta. it would be extra cool if somebody could get footage of firing into walls at a reasonable distance to measure both regular and ads accuracy of the guns. I don't have an xo and am unable to do this myself, but am very interested to see exactly what these changes are

They're just reloadable energy weapons that fill the same roles that are already filled by Human and Covenant weapons.

I dont like that one new human power weapon.
Power weapons like the rocket had this thing when you fired up close, it hurt you back. It was dangerous
This new power weapon just seems, idk, maybe not op, but I liked the power weapon were it was also dangerous to the user.

I wish the gameplay was more like halo 3 mechanics, or at least reach since that was balanced, required skill for real kills, and machine guns that aren't attached to vehicles were not OP
