Most obviously because they're rebels. They want to fight the system and bring it to its knees.
This should be an act punishable by ban.

As it's been stated before, the fairest system would be if uploads were tied to a forum account, thereby forcing users to include their own name anyway.
And that solution was rejected because most of the submitted maps come from people NOT subscribed or wishing to be active in the forum.

I remember that exact readme description from somewhere... I think it may have been the h3 assault rifle or battle rifle or something. Anyway, I remember that the person who uploaded it had nothing to do with the tags, it was just an upload from what I can recall. The other details besides the readme itself are vague at best.

I suppose I may as well mention this: http://hce.halomaps.org/index.cfm?fid=5302

I didn't upload that variant, but someone 'fixed' the map and uploaded it while (partially?) using my name as the author.

You can't use the pocket edition, you have to do the full research:

rhe·tor·i·cal
rəˈtôrək(ə)l/
adjective

- of, relating to, or concerned with the art of rhetoric.
"repetition is a common rhetorical device"

synonyms: stylistic, oratorical, linguistic, verbal - "rhetorical devices"

- expressed in terms intended to persuade or impress.
"the rhetorical commitment of the government to give priority to primary education"

synonyms: extravagant, grandiloquent, magniloquent, high-flown, orotund, bombastic, grandiose, pompous, pretentious, overblown, oratorical, turgid, flowery, florid;

- More (of a question) asked in order to produce an effect or to make a statement rather than to elicit information.

Not rhetoric, "rhetorical". So you will understand the purpose of the thread to begin with.

The Topic Name is meant to make people reevaluate their actions rather than glean any actual answer. That's why it's a rhetorical question

Then again, it still doesn't explain how nonforumers would end up seeing this question, so both sides of this argument kinda lose anyways.. ^^"

Dennis is actually in his late 50's or early 60's, either way, I have this question to ask him. Dennis, how involved were you in the computer industry?
Not directly in the computer industry but peripherally; first with designing test equipment for modems and then designing power supplies. I worked mostly in the Telcom industry with short stints in other areas then in the electrical industry before starting UXB Internet. Computers didn't have monitors or keyboards when I first started with with them.

Projects last a long time with many individuals working on them. The people creating the readme do not have a complete list of the names of individuals that have contributed. Even teams help out other teams. I did it because when I did MPG3 I could never come up with a complete list of the people who helped create the tags that span back to before I played Halo CE.

Stop being impertinent, raffgie. Look up the word "assistance". I was offering assistance, and that is none of your business. Your toxic attitude is giving you a bad reputation, and people with bad reputations get no assistance with anything, not even when their lives depend upon it. Will you be someone who has to learn that lesson the hard way, or will you be someone who never learns that lesson at all? It doesn't look like you are going to learn that lesson at all, which will end up maximizing your suffering. Your rudeness is making you look very bad, and it doesn't look like you are willing to improve your attitude. Smart people have discipline; if you are never disciplined, you will never be smart. Is that what you want?

Dennis may very well know how to make a web site and maintain web servers, but what makes you think he has to do all the work of everything all by himself with nobody to help him with anything? Just because you show no respect to your mother for doing your dishes and washing your clothes doesn't mean you have to bring that impertinence here. Grow up.

I made the offer, so if Dennis wants my assistance with this task, no matter how trivial he thinks it is, he knows how to ask me for help with it. Whether or not he CAN do it is of no consequence. A store owner CAN do all the tasks of maintaining and managing a store, but jobs exist because people choose to hire others to help them with the tasks involved with what they do. So stop being so rude and disrespectful and acknowledge kindness when it is shown.

Remove your toxic attitude. I don't care if you brainwash yourself with stand up comedy, read a book of jokes on a regular basis, or be inspired from the Holy Bible, get rid of that bad attitude, because I am sick and tired of having you wave it around here like a muddy flag, specifically directing it at me! If you keep abusing people here, you're gonna get it handed right back to your face!

I have a family member who is in bed, sick and dying and needs care, but he alienates everyone who tries to help him. He's so f'ing rude that he's going to die because of his impertinence. We try to tell him to be nice and to just shut up, but he doesn't listen and is stubborn even though his life depends upon it. And in all likelihood, he will die because he cannot get the care he needs, because he has alienated everyone who tries to help him, and guess what? It will be all his own fault for his suffering. I tried to tell my family that he is just delirious from the pain, but they don't really believe me, and even people on their death beds, dying from pain, don't show that kind of repulsive behavior. It reminds me of homeless people who go to a hospital because of an issue due to their lack of caring for their own health (like brushing their teeth or bathing) and they put up a real stink, ranting and raving at the slightest inconvenience, as if the hospital staff were their slaves. They show no respect, even though their lives depend upon it. How foolish! What does their complaining get them, besides the irritation of those trying to help them? NOTHING.

Don't let that be you, too. Don't learn the lesson the hard way or not learn it at all. Right now, you have the attitude of a homeless drug addict, as I have seen with my own eyes; it's not a term of rhetoric or insult, I am honest and serious, that this is how you are acting. It is not pretty. They think they are masters of manipulation, but all they get for themselves is an agonizing death in some remote ditch or back alley. This is where an impertinent attitude will lead you, unless you divorce yourself from it. You have been warned.

Good luck.

I'm honestly touched that you took the time to write me a short story, but it's wasted effort as I only had to read the first sentence. I was just being an optimist, while you're behaving like a zealot. You can try and force your ideals onto people if you wish, but I'm competent enough to know not to succumb to the morals of the mentally disturbed.
