As the title suggests what if MS opened a pole for the next Halo Editing Kit.

What game based kit would you prefer?

I'd go for halo reach honestly.

Spartan Assault obviously.

Probably halo 3. Maybe reach.
Why not both?

None of them tbh, I'd prefer the source code

I don't think it would make much sense to have both, unless you meant Halo reach EK with halo 3 assets readily available.

Truthfully I think I could have a lot of fun with a detailed Spartan Assault Editing Kit.

Next to that I'd say Halo 3, Halo: Reach's Forge Mode is good enough to stand on its own.

honestly i would prefer an editing kit on the reach version of the engine. because native firefight support :D

and we could easily port over halo 3 content as that version of the engine supports instanced geometry

Definitely Halo 4's engine.

^ Never settle for older if you're superficially getting the fully unlocked version of it

Other than the fact is the worst editing kit ever? Probably Reach for me, forge was awesome, but it would be even better with a real EK

You can do exactly nothing with the Halo 2 EK.
