Animations in MCC are definitely locked at 60 fps. Tbh it looks and feels great. Too bad it's nearly impossible to play CE in matchmaking due to the fact that it is only present in two mixed-game playlists and the h2/h3 kids always vote for those games instead :(

And lol to human eye only being able to see 15 fps, maybe this is why there is so much input lag in RL for me :/

I kept thinking that's how they did 60fps in h1 in mcc. and yea if you look around, if you focus on one thing, you will see its smoothness, lol minus the intense motion blur, although our gpus suck super bad, and so do our cpus because they are underclocked

People are individual when it comes to... everything. It's not like everyone can only see XXX FPS. It doesn't even work like that for us, we're not cameras. Same goes for example, colours; I see a shade of blue but for you it will be a bit different. I can't tell the difference when I go past 200 FPS but for games I can FEEL the difference due to input lag, no matter if I use a 60hz monitor or faster one. It's most noticeable when you turn v-sync on a game, everything feels very sluggish.

Someone mentioned YouTube quality. Well, their encoding system isn't really optimized for gaming videos but it's great for TV-shows and stuff.

If you put a 30 fps video and a 60 fps video side-by-side, you will see a difference (provided both screens have at least 120hz refresh rate. Therefore, the human eye can see up to 60 fps. More than that, I can't say.

The human eye can't see about 22 frames. Why do you think they make movies in 22 frames

The human eye can't see in FPS, but it definitely can notice the "smoothness" change between 30 FPS and 60 FPS.

The thing about 22-24 FPS, if I recall correctly, is that it's the minimum required for the eye to perceive movement, and not just a bunch of images changing fast.

The reason they choose to shoot in 24 fps and not higher is because movies are shot on film, which, if you want to shoot in higher fps, you have to buy more film. It's all about cost efficiency. For example, if you have a long motion picture, let's say @24 fps you need 5 reels (which let's say costs $500), then @48 fps you'll need 10 reels ($1000). In reality, the prices are actually much higher (buying the stock, then developing, etc). And these prices don't just affect the filmmakers, but the cinemas as well. A film of normal length (5 reels) can cost as much as $10,000.

More film trivia: the only reason that we're starting to see HFR (high frame rate) movies (such as The Hobbit) is because recently all cinemas switched to digital (no more reels of film, instead a movie consists of a heavily-encrypted, low-compression file stored on a local server - average size is about 100GB). Digital projectors are capable of higher refresh rates with a relatively cheap modification, giving them the ability to show films in true 48 fps - none of that "Trumotion" 120hz garbage you have on your Samsung TV (that method inserts black a black frame every second frame, essentially faking it).

Wait what? I'm pretty sure they're color blind, not able to see in just black and white.

Technically if they are colour blind it means they will see in black and white anyway right?

I'm no dogspert.

Someone ask your mom if she can see in colour or not.

Nope. They see a different spectrum.
