If you're unfamiliar with it, the Repel ability from SA is an ability only useful in Flood mode if I recall correctly, and for that reason appears only inside the Infinity Flood Simulation. I've been thinking about working on a version for CE, pretty much just for the Library.
It'd probably utilize the same flashlight replacement system that Firefight: Descent, SPV3, and Sudden Conflict has.

You could just have it spawn an effect with a damage tag attached which continuously damages flood only. It sounds super cheap but totally doable.

I could, but that's not exactly how Repel works. I believe it doesn't so much as damage the Flood as keep them away and from damaging the player, hence, "Repel".

Lmao, I remember coming up with this exact concept during early versions of Descent Quarantine (at the time called "Deadly-Descent"). Here's the concept image I drew for it too...  I know, I know, please hold your applause for this obviously masterful work of art.

Could you release a high-def picture so I can use it for my desktop background?
Anyway, I may or may not delve deeper into this and produce some sort of rough draft. I'm only a mediocre modder, so I doubt I could produce this to the best of my abilities.

You could probably spawn a scenery object that messes with their pathfinding. Or a damage effect with force that only effects flood forms
