Sometimes there are questions which you should never ask, for they are the true daggers through the hearts of hope. Do you have any plans to archive your findings of the ce engine? There future plans might be working with Contingency. But then again we can't mode it at all because cry engine is already been compile. Now teh lag if you guys going to decide to do something professional use unreal engine. That will allow us mode your game once you ship it and it has a source code. So yes you can modify the engine. We'll publicly release as much of TSC:E's source materials as is practical; when we do that we'll also try to get out some documentation on some of the things we've learned from making the map. Maybe some people will even pick up where Evolved left off. If not, there's still the SPv3 team to keep the CMT machine running.
I can't really speak for the others' plans. I have a few pet projects that I'd like to move on to; some are game dev-related and some are not. I think that most people who spend enough time around game dev-like environments have a few ideas for games that they'd like to try making some day, and so maybe some day you'll see a teh lag game. There will be plenty of time for more solid plans when the map is out. I do not currently intend to open a maid cafe.

I will be playing all the games I have not touched in the past 3 years, spending time with my girlfriend, and enjoying having my life back.
I will definitely work with Iffy and Lag to document our process and our tools so that what we have learned will be accessible to the community. Past that I can't really predict what my plans are, this project has been such a huge part of our lives that doing anything but passing out for a year afterwards seems like a rather hasty decision.

What a joke. Despite the number of cores, it's IPC is so low a modern lowend quadcore from intel or a dual core with ht would destroy it for 3ds max rendering.

teh lag, you are a halo legend and i wanted to say that i personally have been impacted by your work. thank you for your help in the community. i wish you werent leaving.... but thank you for what youve done. we will all miss you and i am saddened by the future loss of your impact and support... perhaps we will request also a tag dump before signing off but i dont want to be the one to request it because i know how much effort you have put into this. <3 ed it while it lasted and heartbroken that you are leavng. please remember the comunity and remember that some of us here still wish to learn before its all back to becoming star dust and spacejunk. <3 thellt, aka revan the great, and from my buddy rambo... were going to miss you!

I think this will mark the end of an era of Halo CE. The Evolved Team was one of the last remaining teams that could manage to pull off a project in a semi-professional way.
