I am currently using the universal UI which is great but I want to be able to edit it a little bit. I want to remove the covert ops section from the campaign menu and add new maps to the firefight menu. I tried using halo UI creator but it failed to unpack the universal UI.map and I found a tutorial for creating UI.maps but it says you need tool.exe which I don't have and can't find. Can anyone give some idea of what I can do to edit the universal UI to add or remove maps from campaign and firefight list

A few tutorials that will get you started. You will have to have some knowledge on scripting as well buddy.

Hey, just FYI though, the Universal UI is getting an update in about a month. I would just wait for that before trying to do all that work. The update does pretty much what you're describing (and more, except the Covert Ops menu has been relocated rather than removed).
