Sad part is I joined there because of Halo modding, found cool people involved with halo modding, started spending more time there and then found out just how screwed up every other part of the forum is.

On topic: Im serious though folks, what is it that is so wrong with this texture pack?

How about the fact that it extrapolates money out of consumers, most dominantly children, who don't have access to the FREE and INFINITE reserve of texture-pack PC players do, meaning Microsoft can make that moneyyyy for doing an few hours of work, because minecraft texture-packs take negligible effort.

Its not like anyone is being forced to buy it :P

Its also 4 dollars, which is basically nothing.

Yep extrapolate was not the right word, whoops.
However, why not offer some texture pack maker app for the ecksbaucks so there could be tons of community made pack for anyone to enjoy(or make one yourself), instead of keeping it as a means to get money out of people.

Well, partially because the xbox version already comes with a fair number of free textures, most of which are player model skins.

And remember this pack comes with an entire remake of every texture and effect in the game as well as some new models for the enemies and chief skins and such, includes a bunch of redone halo music in place of the original minecraft soundtrack, and comes with pre-made versions of classic halo levels, like Bloodgulch, Guardian, Valhalla, and a few others from Bungie and 343 Halo games that they showed in the trailer. Its a fair amount of content that they put together and its pretty damn cheap for what it is. You may not want to jump on the "keeping it as a means to get money out of people" bandwagon. Its obvious they put a fair amount of thought and effort into making this and 4 bucks really doesn't seem like that much to pay for it, regardless of your opinion of 343's direction on with the Halo franchise.

Edit: Also, a ton of new player skins on top of the general texture changes.

Enemy mobs are reskinned as covies, i.e. the bit with them coming out of spawners. Some of the bigger ones may be regular player skins. I dunno :P
