i dont understand why you guys stopped recording tags. :(

Cuz all tagz are crappy ripz.

We stopped after the first time we did it because 1/2 of them dont work and the other 1/2 are just modded tag WITH A NEW SHADER

My only problem is Matt's really muffled, and that some feedback aside from 'I like it' would be nice. I know sometimes you don't have much to work with but there's a guy on YT that does very indepth, 6+ minute reviews on single maps from another game that never get old...surely you probably can't do that to keep it short and sweet, but a little more detail would be nice.

e: Maybe condense the show to only encompass original or genuinely interesting modded maps, perhaps?

If someone else already does it, we are not going to steal their thunder. HMU is just more of a short showing of what is new to Halo Maps. We don't like to give out ratings either just because its not fair. All a rating is, is a form of an opinion. So we just try to show off the map as much as we can in 15 seconds and say what its best suited for.

Then just show the new ones that work? *lel*

So what's on HMU that couldn't be gleaned from just glancing at the map page?

For one thing you actually get to see the map in motion. Let's take for instance, The Cage. Halomaps provides no description of the map and not much can be 'gleaned' from the two tiny screenshots which don't include any information on gametypes, weapons and bipeds other than the fact that the map looks like one from Halo Reach. HMU provides all this information and furthermore shows you how the map would be actually be played in multiplayer.

A quick summary and a chance to see all the new HaloMaps maps in action (yes. even the bad BG mods)...
I mean, if a picture is worth thousand words, then aren't movies worth a thousand pictures?

What's happened to Gamenights? Have you guys just been really busy, or do you plan on hosting one in the near future?

Near finals at my University.

If Bullet would want to make and upload the map list to the server, we could go ahead but Im incredibly busy atm.

Planned gamenights:
-(Monday) May 5th - Halo: Custom Edition's 10 year anniversary. (I found that the March date was Halo PCs 10 year).
-(Friday) May 30th - Last time without mods you'll be able to find a server using the server list. Remember it.

We'll probably do them more often when the servers switch off.

an "update" is a mod. if you dont like the word "mod" thats fine but your gonna have to deal with it.

i update maps so this how it work ... update is a bit like a mod but not the same I give credit to all Author's and there tags if it a mod there
is no credit for Author's however I like to update map so I keep as update

as for my spelling do you guys have ta keep going on about it

all that you guys did say is all it is got nice rain well that is ok .. I did put the most work
into the rain to make it look good as it going to get

if you compile an already existing map with a change, its a mod, credits or not.
