Taking a leaf out of yoda's book, I have decided to create my own tutorial's index.

A majority of my tutorials will be catered to novices, (I am sort of one my self) which means around 15 - 30 minute in depth tutorials. Just to go the extra mile if a specific request warrants it, I may include project files in the description of the video.

Please take into account, I will not always be able to upload periodically. Generally I make a tut whenever I can so please keep patient! And as a favor to me, please keep this thread going.

BTW I would appreciate if you could "call out" any mistakes I have made and how to rectify them if necessary. Please share, many thanks - {SS}Flanker

Great job man, you should send it to Matt so he places them in the CE3 Tutorial library.

Thank you, although admittedly. It is a pain in the ass, to get a perfect tutorial made without a screwy sound happening in the background.

Which is why I have to try doing them at 3:00am.

How come your tutorials are nearly imperfect yoda? I hardly notice any errors.

I tried doing that in the past, but it pretty much sucked the life out of the whole tutorial, Because of the amount of intensive editing such as clipping sound tracks, adding transitions.

And after all that, you start to hate making tutorials.

Another point to be made is the overall intention for making the tutorial, if your heart isn't in it there is no point wasting your time. Augmenting the tutorial so it doesn't become true or fresh is a little too..........fake for me, maybe that isn't the correct term but it sort of feels like your lying to your viewers.

There is always a discernible difference between a tutorial which was made correctly and one which was made, and chopped up to rectify errors. I prefer to make mine "live" and "in the moment" the only augmentations I add truthfully are the fade in fade out effects.

By the way, if anyone is wondering what desktop capture program I use, here it is:

http://www.techsmith.com/camtasia.html?gclid=CJfG8a_N37wCFXGWtAodenYAPg

If your tech is in the way of your will to make tutorials, maybe this can help. It pretty much captures flawlessly and has a nice array of software codecs. As well as this it comes with a very competitive video editor too. Try the trial out, and if you like it even more support the dudes at tech smith by buying their product like I did.

*Note*

Tutorials which require external 3d processes such as max or maya will have to be delayed until my 3ds 2014 dvd arrives. Apologies for any one who is waiting, bear with me.

Been using Camtasia Studio since 2006 for tutorials, its actually the most used for screen casting software and the best IMHO. =D

Blue Berry Flash Back Pro. (Idiotic name) Is also a worthy alternative.

@PRPatxi: You have tutorials? Can you post some links so I & others may see?

I do most of my tutorials while alone at college (between homework assignments and such). There is nobody and nothing around to make noise or mess anything up.

Ah! you see, I don't have that luxury.

By the way, a few more tutorials which I am unsure about picking up:

> How to rip data model and image files from halo 3 on wards.

(Is that legal?)

> How to create fp animations.

(Yoda has extensive tuts on this, which is why I am reluctant to pick it up. If his tutorials were outdated or very old. I would be tempted to revamp them but his are quite recent. And also TEH LAG Has some pretty awesome tutorials on this too. I fear I maybe just adding to a pot which is pretty much full)

> How do I rip a protected map

(I am aware of a tool called enlighten...... or something along those lines, never used it and don't really want to. I don't approve of protected tagsets, unless you feel there maybe some unstable content in your work, in which case protecting your tags for that reason is pretty much the only adequate motive)

Any ideas if I should add these to the list?

Part 2 of modifying ammunition counts is completed! (check the first post)

I went over some stuff I did in the original tutorial just because I had a few requests to do so, sorry about this. Instead of using the HEK+ Which some people find confusing to use. (No idea why)

I resorted to posting a link to the Halo pc Sp tagset, released by theghost and monoxidec. Which includes all of the necessary files and folders you need to mod any default map scenario file of your choosing. Simply download to your desktop and extract into your tags folder.

On a side note, I do not understand this error my clan friend is getting when he wants to build a cache file. I have never come across it before, does anyone have a remedy?

Did you ever find a fix for that error? I've never seen that one before.

@Yoda: Apparently according to my friend the problem was linked to certain missing or broken system files. He simply replaced his corrupted cmd.exe and now he can compile.

So to summarize the problem isn't closely linked to the HEK and it's assets. I believe the problem is more closely linked to the stability of certain crucial system files which windows and cmd rely on. Rule in a virus for a probable cause

Apart from that I received 2 requests, surprisingly on the same vehicle please see the first post for the link. (newer tutorials are highest, older are lowest)

Regrettably I was asked to use photoshop for the ghost texture editing tutorial, I would have liked to use a free'er more accessible software such as gimp. But the requester was adamant that I use photoshop for that particular tut. However the tools I used can all be found in gimp also.

This week I only have 1 request to conform to, which involves making firing effect tutorials for each of the stock weapons.

1 tutorial a week should suffice for each weapon. All though initially opaque and unclear to understand firing effects / particle tags are easy to deconstruct once you peer through the mist.

Hello.

Necrobumping because this is my thread and I can do what ever tf I want and your not my real parents so fu.

Anyways......

For some undisclosed reason YouTube decided to "accidentally" delete my first YT channel which I am guessing all of the links in the OP are referenced to.

Because of this if you visit any of the url's you'll be re-directed to an infomercial stating that;

"This video is no longer available because the uploader has closed their YouTube account."

This all basically means that all of the tutorials are now lost unless some good lurking soul decided to download all of my content and archive because I sure as hell didn't.

I won't be re-up'ing the tuts neither will I re-make them just for them to be taken down again. Yes I know it sucks but I'm in a real special relationship with my right hand right now and I really don't think I could make any more commitments to anything else without losing the one person I love most in this world....

MY SELF.

With that said I'll still help if you want to chat or something just pm me and send me noods over at discord: Super Flanker#2198. I'm on most weekends.

Okay bai, love you, kill your self.
