"and he doesn't have a disc drive" That could be the problem, may be the game just works with hard drives, and if im correct w8 tablets have flash memory, like iPads and small Apple devices. Also W8 tablets are not designed for playing, I mean of course they can run low-req games but not all, may be Halo wonīt run because the processor is weaker or the tablet has Low ram.

the tablet with detachable keyboard had i3 core haswell. never got a good look at the specs because w8 pissed me off too much with its not so user friendly exploration of the desktop... in my opinion... I am never going with an i3 or weaker again... unbelievable, im just gonna make him download the crap. funny story, hes afraid of getting viruses from halo downloads or stuff from this site... unreal. but anyways when im at his house on Monday, ill review the stuff and get him to DL and use his cd key this time instead of my flashdrive.

side note: what is the difference between a 120gb flash memory drive, and a 120gb ssd?

I donīt really know all the differences, I think one of them is that in Flash memories you canīt recover lost data.In an HDD or SSD when you lost a file, you can use some softwares to recover the file, but when somethings gets erased in a flash memorie, it will be deleted forever, Flash memories are cheaper than HDD and SDD. I think this memories are on-board I mean they are attached in the motherboard, so If your flash memorie fails or get damaged you will need to buy a new tablet and probably all your data will be deleted.

Why portable? Why not legal? If you downloaded halo ce with a legit cd key run haloupdate. Then you wont need a disk. Also a hybrid drive is a good value. But idk if they have a laptop one.

False. Flash memory is the type of memory used in SSD's, so "flash drive" and "Solid State Drive" are synonymous. With an SSD you can't recover data from a dead drive.

I strongly doubt that the storage medium is what's causing the exception - it's more likely GPU-related. Try running it with the -useff command line. If that works, try -use14.

Read much? SSD is the fastest storage just for the fact that its not physically accessed like mechanical drives.

ur tellin me that apple is using giant flash drives in their useless crap? oh man im gonna feel so smug when I return to college
