Well, the title it says all. How can I enable the "dynamic mirror" option for my shader enviroment. When I enable it, and try to rebuild the structure_bsp (with tool structure) sends me this message: COULDN'T ALLOCATE FINAL CLUSTER MIRROR

I tried to compilate my JMS to see if that could make my dynamic mirror, but FAIL
Please I need help. I really want to put this effect

Greetings

It might be a broken feature.

Or maybe you're just doing it wrong (e.g. forgetting to do a step)

Thank you so much . At last I found a good answer. Yeah, you're right. I had the same shader enviroment in the floor and in the roof. Now I will edit that in my 3dsmax. Thanks again :)

That doesn't really help... It's like if I asked "Where is my phone?" and you say "Where you last left it."

bend the corners of the floor bevel them in.

I have the same issue with my map.

or make your mirror glass and put a real floor under it..

or extend the floor past the walls so its not viewable...

what did u fix to get it working anyway?

With your past comment. I had the same shader_enviroment (texture) in the floor and in the roof. So, I changed the roof texture with another texture, and I put the dynamic mirror in the surface. Done!!

Excuse me, but if it's broken, it's broken.

It's pretty clear. Of course, I could also say "doesn't work, which would be a lot easier to understand but I would find that acceptable, at the very least.

And yet it does work. If you honestly have no idea what the hell your talking about, don't start saying stuff you don't know?

Yeah I recognized the error I have messed with some mirrors be4...
the error is caused buy rendering the 2 mirrors the light bounces of one on to the other and if they are directly facing the light just keeps bouncing causing a never ending loop...
that's why you never get the final cluster... it just keeps trying to render forever...

that sky in the floor error is always there very annoying I'm not sure if it's direct3d issue or just halo or what but I have found ways around it as I stated...

I find that its best to give your mirror a nice texture with a bump map to...
I know a lot of people use mirrors on the floor but honestly if you use the same texture on the floor and wall and bump the floor and bump, mirror the wall the effect's turn out pretty nice... it makes good for making a small room seem larger to...

show some more pictures when you get it sorted all righty... :)

So should I delete the windows and holes in the map?? The sky/mirror error could fix if I delete those zones? or not? In that case, I will use a shader that emules the lightmap (frieze_hori_light_white.shader_transparent_chicago). I hope answers
