But when I tested the map on my own, if using 'cheat_all_weapons' command to bring back halo weapons and when you shoot at walls, R2 attached to the ship, the big ship which carries troopers, walls, turrets, stairs, slopes, chambers which holds a red saber inside, the material effects are still dirt and need to be changed to metal/steel. Hopefully no dirt material effects will be present in the final version. Just metal only.

I don't see how this is an issue since noone uses that cheat on mp. Those weapons could easily be changed in guerilla tho.

Clearly, all material effects on everything except asteroids need to be 'metal'. The asteroids' material effects are still 'dirt' and need to be changed into 'metal'

But all weapons use same effects for all materials so what's the point of changing materials to metal? Nothing would change except for some sounds like footsteps.

Changing the materials is definitely something on the to-do-list. Its often annoyed me scooting around in R2D2 and seeing dirt fly up from floor. Thanks for bring this back to my attention and I hope to have the shader materials tightened up on the next revision.

While we're still being serious about corrections...
I noticed that the camera angles were changed a lot from the CE3 version, and it's a lot closer to the vehicle/driver than before.

Although this helped a lot for the bulky Millennium Falcon, I think it made the Xwing and Tie Fighter a lot harder to control.
Plus, the tie fighter and hangar cannons' cameras (never knew you had those...but why don't they reach the floor?) clip through the BSP way too often.

Any chance you could fix this so that the camera angles and flight controls are smoother?

This has been another one of those pet peeve's of mine that I haven't gotten around to fixing but definitely on the to do list and hopefully there won't be any issues with having that worked out for the next release.

THIS IS HALO CE WE'RE TALKING ABOUT

Quit being cheap, cheapy. 20 dollars (or even less used) plus like 4 shipping. You'll probably get more use out of it then a 10 dollar game you'll never play that you got from a steam sale

I actually got my copy in 2008 IN STORES. This way you don't even need to get up from your lazy chair

so I got 10 players on lan using that star wars map and it look good the map lods up good and play good on lan

And so everyone knows but I'm not making any promises but at the moment on working on optimizing the tags in the map. Come Saturday, if I can reduce 70MB from the cache file I can create a .map file along with a .yelo. So wish me luck.

you need to put more weapons in that star wars map that good gamesnight tho ()() o it is a lan game not a net game I will look up your svrever and I will see if I can get some players to play on that map
o keep it a yelo map do not make it norml map
got all the gamesmaster thar is 10 gamesmaster
r you goimg to release vehicles tags when you done your map??

So the next beta has been released and for many of you it will be exciting news. I'm releasing the next beta as a .map file. I'm torn on the issue but I just can't justify isolating easily more than 50% of the community. As much as I would love to support OS, for now, where we are currently, I just can't see how it's logical to stick with OS at the moment. Unfortunately I needed to reduce the memory limit to the size needed to create a map file and by doing that there was some texture optimizing.

Perhaps in the future we will return to OS. We'll see.
Our OS Server is still available for ingame map downloads but you can also use the link below.

No major changes except for the optimizing. The Cheater Portals were also removed.

So everyone is aware,
I have disabled the OS server and switched over to SAPP. Doing this, we lost our in-game map downloading functionality, which is disappointing, but I felt it was necessary. Too many people were having invalid cd-key errors.

Let me know if there are still issues. Go! Join the server, have fun!

It is just a small test which didn't work as expected. Hoboscience also has some weird problems with his server and can't even join it. Let's hope that he sorts this out soon.

Update your map files please,
There is a new map version starwars-beta_904 - Should resolve many of the exception errors, especially when a vehicle is destroyed while the player alive within it. Also players can no longer blow up unoccupied vehicles (as much fun as that was)

I spend all day fixing up the shaders for this great biped. now he changes color in mp it's the lest I could do for the thanks I have for you guys and yoda's help with another project.
I am so glad you released this map.
I just hope I can get the hud and effect's for the light saber working for you guys.
if you don't want to use it. that's fine but I had to fix this guy up.
I got him in max and gave him a proper uvw on his armor. and then commenced to making
new normal's, detail maps, spec masks & new cubemaps. so he's not using the warthog defuse metal anymore and saveinpvtmike helped with the multi's & color changing.
if you want the new bitmaps and shaders send me a pm.
here he is in sapien with out os & shine on if that's the look your going for.
the one white bitmap and no effects was sort of killing me.
I think he looks fantastic though.

IM SORY I CANT MAKE A VIDEO OF THIS I KNOW THIS IS WHAT YOU WANT AND I HAVE BEEN TRYING TO DO THIS FOR YEARS! AND NOW FINALY IT WORKS.

ITS SMALL AND ONLY ATTACHED TO THE CENTER MARKER. AND ITS THE WRONG COLOR I KNOW But its amazing! WIP. I wish I could have made a video but I need to do clean up on my pc im 9tb full. cant even install fraps.
I plan on perfecting this and making the other colors needed for the other color sabers.
it will look a lot better when its coming out of the entire sward instead of just he middle.
I will also be fixing the hud up.... bbs.

Keep in mind that the armor looks like shiny plastic in the movies, so you can actually keep that amount of shine...

Yeah but white does not exactly shine very well & they way they had him set the shine was like fake now he has a detail map and realistic lighting and reflections using os as you can see in my first picture.
anyway its wip nice to get the feedback I will see if I can tone him down.
I always seem to make them to shiny at first and then keep toning them down till I reach perfection.
